MANAGEMENT MERRY GO ROUND!

Alex Bruce manager of Macclesfield has left to take up a role at another club. It is thought He will end up at Salford City. Also James Jepson has been sacked/relieved of his duties at Basford United. Both these two managers only joined their respective clubs earlier this season.

CLUB STATEMENT: JAMES JEPSON
Josh Wakelin.  19 Feb

.
Following the defeat on Saturday away to Gainsborough Trinity, manager James Jepson tendered his resignation Monday morning that subsequently was accepted by the clubs hierarchy and Owner.
Seniority at the club had no hesitation in immediately offering the managerial position to Danny Holmes and Andrew Danylyszyn and will put additional support in as needed at the requests of Danny & Andy. Additionally Danny and Andy will have a wealth of football knowledge at their disposal from our Chair and Vice Chair Stan Mitchell and Wayne Miles, so as a club we feel we are covered.
With the club embarking on the Notts Senior Cup Semi-Final Wednesday night away to Clipstone, followed by a 10 day break before we commence the run in of 9 key NPL games where the new management team will be provided additional funding to enhance the squad for the run in to give us a fighting chance to stay up.

It may sound like Jeppo resigned but I doubt that was the case. It's much more likely that he was given the push. Chris Munroe is not a patient man.

Michael Clegg Appointed New Macclesfield Boss

 about 7 hours ago By James Gordon

Warrington Rylands boss Michael Clegg has left the club to take on the vacant managerial position at Northern Premier League rivals Macclesfield. The Silkmen have wasted no time in replacing Alex Bruce, who left the club on Wednesday to join Karl Robinson's backroom team at League Two side Salford City.  Clegg, who only signed a new two-year deal with Rylands earlier this month, leaves his former club joint-second in the Northern Premier League table and firmly in the hunt for promotion. Clegg spent just over a year with the Blues, turning the club into promotion contenders after previously enjoying managerial spells at Ashton United and Atherton Collieries - helping the latter to three promotions during his five years in charge. He has signed an initial 18-month deal with Macclesfield, with his first home game in charge coming against fellow promotion contenders Marine on March 2.Macclesfield are also the only Northern Premier League side remaining in the FA Trophy, with the Silkmen set to welcome Coalville Town to the Leasing.com Stadium next month.
