FA CUP 4th Qualifying Round Draw

The draw for the Emirates FA Cup fourth round qualifying will be made on Thursday afternoon, live on talkSPORT 2.
Following the third round qualifying ties across the country this week, this draw sees 23 clubs* from the Conference National join the competition for the first time this season. In total, there are 63 clubs involved in the draw with 31 ties being pulled out, split into 12 ties in the North section and 19 ties in the South region.
And with a spot in the first round proper up for grabs, it's represents being one step away from a stab at causing an upset for those non-League teams hungry to make a name for themselves.
The draw will take place from 1pm BST and will be live on the 'The Social', hosted by Ade Oladipo which you can listen to via DAB radio or online.

*Due to Macclesfield Town FC’s withdrawal from the National League and subsequently the Emirates FA Cup, there will be an odd number of clubs entering the draw. As a result, the final club left in the Northern Section of the draw, that isn’t drawn to play in a tie in the fourth round qualifying, will receive an automatic bye to the first round proper. This club will also receive the prize fund payment applicable for the fourth round qualifying.

Re: FA CUP 4th Qualifying Round Draw

Six Northern Premier League clubs are 90 minutes away from the FA Cup first round proper.

Marske United’s reward for their terrific 1-0 win over Blyth Spartans on Wednesday night is a 424-mile round trip to face National League North side Brackley Town in the fourth qualifying round.

All six NPL clubs were kept apart, while none were fortunate enough to receive the bye through to the first round, caused by the withdrawal of Macclesfield Town - that went to Chorley.

Marske’s N/West Division rivals Marine landed an away tie at Chester, while fellow step four club Ilkeston Town have a home game with Hartlepool United.

Premier Division sides South Shields, FC United and Stafford Rangers all got home ties, against Halifax Town, Guiseley and Skelmersdale United respectively.

Games will take place on Saturday October 24th.
Ties involving NPL sides:
          Stafford Rangers v Skelmersdale United
South Shields v FC Halifax Town
          Ilkeston Town v Hartlepool United
          FC United v Guiseley
          Brackley Town v Marske United
          Chester v Marine

The match against Hartlepool United gives Ilkeston a chance to hit the headlines.  No one outside of Ilkeston will be expecting anything but a convincing Hartlepool win. Indeed it will take a super human performance by the team to avoid defeat but in a one off game anything can happen. With no extra time or replay, the underdogs with home advantage are always in with a slim but fighting chance. If we can get through ninety minutes on level terms and get to a penalty shootout, then we have a 50-50 chance of going through. I'm sure the Ilkeston players will have been well prepared by the management for that possible spot kick decider.

Re: FA CUP 4th Qualifying Round Draw

.

All 400 tickets for the Hartlepool match have now been sold. Queuing began around 10 30am this morning for the remaining tickets and by just after 1pm all of the tickets had gone.

The Club would like to apologise to the people who queued and didn't get a ticket but with a crowd limit of 400, it was always going to be that many supporters would be left disappointed.
