Halesowen v Ilkeston : FA Cup : Sat 4 Sep

.

Next up for the Yeltz, we welcome @ilkestontown_fc to the Grove on Saturday in the first qualifying round of the @EmiratesFACup 3pm ko
#UpTheYeltz #EmiratesFACup #QueSeraSera

.

Halesowen have made a better start than us

Halesowen have more points than us.

Halesowen have won every match so far.

Halesowen have more supporters than us.

Halesowen beat Sporting Khalsa. We lost to Sporting Khalsa

Halesowen beat Belper. We only drew with Belper.

All these things counts for nothing. I believe can go there and win.

This is a very important match even though not a league match. At this very early stage of the season a cup win against the unbeaten league leaders would be a massive confidence booster.

I think a lot of teams in our league will be interested in the result of this match, especialiy Stamford.

VISITING FANS

Halesowen Town give a warm welcome to all visiting supporters to The Grove.

Ticket Prices Here

SAT-NAV Postcode  B63 3TB

The Bar - The James Grove Lounge is situated inside the main turnstiles at Old Hawne Lane end of the ground, with live Sky Sports, Draught and bottled ales, Cider on draught as well as our very own Yeltz Pale Ale brewed by a local brewery Fixed Wheel.

We have a cafe inside the ground where you can get burgers, chips, pies and hot and cold drinks.

Car Parking: Unfortunately the car park is for players and officals only so it is on street parking (Please be respectful of our neighbours).

Directions to the ground

By Car: Get to Junction 3 of the M5.  Head towards Kidderminster on the A458 for a mile or so to the first traffic island at the bottom of the hill.  Turn right on to the A459 towards Dudley (the cricket ground should now be on your left) and continue past where the road splits to the next island.  Turn left here on to the A456 towards Stourbridge until you get to the next island.  Take the 3rd exit (Old Hawne Lane) and the ground is about 400 yards away, at the top of the hill on the left.

By Train: The easiest way is to get to Birmingham New Street, and then get a number 9 bus to Halesowen that will drop you off outside the ground on the Stourbridge Road.  You can also get a train to Old Hill/Cradley Heath and take a taxi to the ground which will take around 5 minutes.

By Bus: The number 9 comes from both Stourbridge and Birmingham/Halesowen directions which will drop you off outside the ground on the Stourbridge Road. The 9's run upto every 6 minutes in the day.

Wow,  Ilkeston nearly score. Keeper saves from Webb.  That was so close.  Brown-Hill makes space and shoots from distance but Platt saves easily.      0-0      26 mins

Spence booked for no more than reaching out with his foot. Wakefield booked for petty infringement. Both yellows unjust in my opinion.     0-2       42 mins

Rogers crosses but no one there. Ilkeston attacks are rare.

Half time    0-2       Can't argue with that.

Re: Halesowen v Ilkeston : FA Cup : Sat 4 Sep

Been busy this giving out leaflets and posters up town . Then been working up the bloody loft then when I had a minute checked on the team. I was quite how many changes but fully understand .
Now I ve seen the score . Seem to be on the back foot a lot as I gather . But not many attacks ?

No half time changes.   Wakefield break through but fires wide.  Better start by Ilkeston.    Good run and . Flick by Brown-Hill nearly sends Webb away. cross by Rogers .  Verma, Campbell and Goodson on     0-2       54 mins
