We have never played Bromsgrove Sporting before but we have played their predecessors Bromsgrove Rovers eight times (six in the Southern League and two in the FA Cup.
Of these game we have won 3 drew 2 and lost 3.

Ilkeston Town Head of Football Mark Clifford played in both the 1999 games so he has never been on the losing side against Bromsgrove. In 2006 Martin Carruthers played in both games against Bromsgrove although one was as a substitute.

Next up it's a trip to Bromsgrove Sporting in the FA Trophy 3rd qualifying round. Winners go though to the First Round Proper on 13th November. Bromsgrove are a Step 3 side, the level we want to be playing at next season so we have a chance to show if we are ready. Unfortunately, we will be without Ross Durrant following his red card at Halesowen.

Bromsgrove play in the Southern League Premier Central
They are currently 16th. P12 W4 D1 L7 GF11 GA25 Points 13
Their home record is : P7 W3 D0 L4 GF7 GA15 Points 9
They have lost their last four league matches.
After their poor start Bromsgrove have recently parted company with their manager Brendan Kelly
Despite poor results their average home attendance is 634

Match updates as usual from 3pm and team news around 2 15 pm.
There is just one match in our league but its an important one ie Belper v Stamford and we aim to provide score updates from this game as well.

well we know what normally happens when a club loses its manager dont we ?
We do have a good chance if we are at full strength so to speak . Losing Ross is a big deal especially when i havnt seen enough of of our 2nd keeper to say how good he is. Fair play to the fans of Bromsgrove as they have a good attendances at home .
We have played at this ground but played Worcester as they ground shared plus we got nothing from that game a few years back . Nice ground as well so close to the town centre which makes amassive difference to a non league club as it makes it sooooooo easy to get to. Talking of the town centre if anyone is going to the game and likes the real ales i know where there is a lovely micro pub , but you have to walk past the Wetherspoons lol lol . It's bright sunshine as we approach kickoff. There's quite a slope from goal to goal on this pitch.

it's straight to penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes .It's five minutes to kick off and the teams are out.

Bromsgrove are in red, Ilkeston are in blue .
