Next up is a visit to Impington, Cambridge where we take on second bottom Histon.It’s a match we should win but Histon have improved since we beat them 8-0 at the NMG. They have drawn against Carlton, Stamford and Belper, so we should not be complacent. In their last game they drew with Spalding.
They only have 12 points in total and have not won a single home game.
Their home record is : P11, W0, D4, L7, F9, A26, Points 4.

Banana skin time. Gutted I'm not going. It's one of them games if they score 1st they will park the bus, a tractor and the chairman's car in front of the goal.
I'm going for a 1-0 win don't care who scores and results go our way.

Will this game be a massive banana skin , i mean what could go possibly go wrong ??? I never underestimate anyone in this league especially when the team you are playing are fighting to get out the drop zone .

i have got a slight chance in going now . Was suppose to go up to Bamford Derbyshire for a walking weekend but the weather has stopped that . So i might just might be able to go BUT i have a had a bad throat this week dunno if that was caused from the singing news years day Belper game . But we will see tomorrow if i feel a bit better .

Apparently there is a possibility that the Histon pitch may be unfit as there is a lot of rain forecast . We will know around 9 am tomorrow.

Hopefully the match will go ahead and the early inspection is just precautionary

Players who have played for Ilkeston Town and Histon.

We believe that are only three players who have played for Ilkeston and Histon.

They are present player Aman Verma who played eight games for Histon on loan whilst at Leicester City in 2010.

Carl Pentney played one game for Ilkeston Town again whilst on loan from Leicester City in 2008. He than played one game for Histon in 2012 on loan from Colchester United. Carl was registered as a player for Brightlingsea Recent in the Isthmian League Premier Division in 2021 despite having officially retired from playing and is forging a career as a coach.

James Rowe played for Ilkeston after being released by Charlton Athlertic as a 16 year old. He made six appearances in 2001-02 season and never appeared in a winning side. He joined Histon from Ilkeston for his first spell at the club in 2002 and made 58 appearances scoring 34 goals. He moved into management as a youth coach at Birmingham City and an assistant Aldershot Town before moving to Gloucester City then Chesterfield. James has been extremely successful at Chesterfield and is expected to take them back into the Football League.

**As the pitch is currently very wet and there is potentially significant rainfall forecast from early tomorrow, provisional arrangements have been made for a pitch inspection in the morning should it be necessary. Having liaised with Ilkeston officials, if an inspection is needed a decision will be made by the match referee by 10am and will be publicised as soon as possible after.**
Ilkeston Town come to The Bridge tomorrow as league leaders, three points clear of Halesowen Town and well placed in their push for automatic promotion up to Step 3.The Robins are obviously in good form and have won 8 of their away games so far, the most recent being a 1-0 win at Shepshed Dynamo just after Christmas. Good results mean plenty of goals as well and the Robins lead the way with 63 so far and Zak Goodson as 16 of them. Stutes supporters will need little reminding that rather too many of those goals cam against us back in October but that game marked something of a turning point for us and Lance will be expecting a different performance in the return game at The Bridge tomorrow. As usual the Gaffer has had to deal with numerous injuries disrupting preparations over the last few weeks and months but last weekend saw both Bernat Burguera and Evan Key make the bench after significant time away. Ryan Towner and Tobi Lawal could all also be back in contention this weekend as we look for the points that will help to move us away from the danger zone. Help us to speed up entry into the ground by getting your tickets in advance through our online ticket site here. Pitch has been inspected and declared playable by the referee at present. So he can't call the game off.
More rain is forecast later but it looks like we're setting off.

What a joke about the called off game !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why didnt they say there would be the possibility of another pitch inspection !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But one massive good thing has come out of this , is the fantastic gesture from the owners in offering to pay the supporters back their money in traveling.
Looks like Notts County fans arent happy and the should as well as their game was called off as they got there . These clubs should talking to the other clubs more about maybe calling off the game .....You dont have to wait for the bloody ref to call it off the club should know themselves if it is in doubt ......
