First shot by Blyth but its weak and wide. Baker cuts out dangerous through ball. Good defending by Gordon as Blyth try to get on top.

Blyth supporters appeal for a penalty bur ref is not fooled.  Blyth defender booked for foul on Luis Rose. Another Blyth chance but it's fired wide.

Good effort by Shelton deflected wide for corner but it's mostly Blyth going forward. Liddle fires wide for Blyth.

Blyth continue to press. Great pass from Goddard to Dwyer but his shot is high and wide. Coleman sees keeper off his line and is only just too high. Good save from Durrant.

Penalty for Blyth. Rather generous in my opinion. Dale to take. Durrant saves but Dale follows up to score. 0-1 after 61 minutes.

Corner to Blyth. They waste it. The ref is having trouble keeping order. Ilkeston inches away from an equaliser. Only a few minutes left now.

Blyth now wasting time . Coleman free kick drifts wide.  There goes the whistle; It's finished Blyth 3 Ilkeston 1.  No complaints.  Dale once again is Ilkeston's tormenter.

Re: Blyth Spartans v Ilkeston. : Live Updates

In the end it was a fair result. There's no disputing Blyth are a good side. They used the full width of the pitch attacking down both flanks and with a wide man like Robbie Dale they are always going to score goals. Dale's second goal was undeniably brilliant. It brought every Blyth support in the stand to their feet in rapturous applause. Ilkeston had their moments and might have snatched an equaliser before Blyth finally wrapped it up in the 90th minute, Lavelle-Moore was inches from connecting with Atkinson's low cross. Before that Malachi had stunned the home crowd with a fierce 20 yarder low into the corner.
