It is with great sadness and heartbreak that Basford United Football Club announce the passing of newly-appointed chairman and director, Jamie Brough, on Sunday, May 1. Our thoughts and condolences go to Jamie’s wife Karen and his entire family at this incredibly difficult time.

His appointment was announced on 29th April 2022. Two days later he's passed away. Truly shocking.

Devastating for his family and only 45. He appears to have done a lot for local football with his company Sports Gateway. A massive blow as well for Basford United which just about rounds off a depressing season all round.
