Possible seaside trips with overnight stay when we travel to Leiston

Aldeburgh is a small seaside resort only five miles away from Leiston. Wentworth Hotel looks a reasonably size and probably expensive but might be reasonable if we visit in wintertime.

Southwold is only 14 miles away but is an expensive resort

Lowestoft is 24 miles away and there are plenty of hotels there

Great Yarmouth probably has the biggest choice of hotels if we don’t mind a 54 minute journey

A few things need sorting well in advance :

Need to find a hotel who will accept a large party (Probably in Lowestoft or Great Yarmouth)

Presumably two buses going , one for overnighters and one for those coming back after the game.

Need quote from bus company for return journey including overnight stay.

Need to get a rough idea of total cost per per person before asking how many people are interested . Maybe separate hotel costs for summer and winter )

Need enough people interested to keep the bus cost per person down

Need to know numbers interested so we know how many rooms are required and we're ready to act when fixtures come out. ( If Leiston visit is in August, or September - not much time to organise)

Presumably wives/ partners/ families can go and singles need pairing up

Its nearly an hours drive from Great Yarmouth to Leiston but Great Yarmouth and maybe Lowestoft are the only places that might be able to cater for the large Ilkeston Town support!

There is a Premier Inn at Felixstowe and it is only 30 mins from Leiston so that might be another option.
