After 3 matches without a win, we look for 3 points on the road at Knight’s Lane, Tiddington.

Stratford Town are in the relegation zone and have won only 5 of their 24 matches. Their home record is: won 4, drawn 4 and lost 4.

Despite having a poor season their average home attendance is a respectable 492.

Ilkeston won the corresponding game at the NMG in September by 2-1.

Stratford’s 2-0 win against Rushden last Saturday, ended an 11 match winless run which saw the Bards slide from mid-table to 20th.

After hard to take defeats against Coalville and Leiston, we desperately need to bounce back quickly with wins in our next two matches against struggling Stratford and Bedford.
Our last three results appear to have ended any playoff hopes so our target now should be to finish as high as possible.
There’s still a lot of games left but I can’t see any of the top five imploding and I also can’t see Ilkeston putting an extended run of wins together. Hope I’m wrong.
Finishing outside of the top five has to be a disappointment but hopefully we can now look back and learn from our mistakes and misfortunes.
We made a poor start and were then always playing to catch up.
We’ve never had a settled side and with so many player changes there was never any consistency.
The tactic of signing several older and experienced players has not proved to be successful in terms of results.

Finn Delap’s Work Experience at Ilkeston was due to end on 31 January 23. Hope we can keep him for longer because he’s done really well and has been one of our best performers.

We have got to bounce back surely from our two defeats of late to get back to winning ways ???
we use to be a team who could last well over the ninety minutes but now ....but the last minute goals tells the story.of our season really .
Are the players good enough ??? Yes they are BUT quite a few just cant last and thats killing us .
But i am looking forward to this game plus we have just about t full coach bar one place going to this game . So come ilson ...do us a favour and more so yourselves a favour AND LAST THE BLOODY 90 MINS .

It's very dull here and rain looks likely.
Dempsey has passed a late fitness test so he's in the team.
We have a lot of injuries so only the three on the bench.

It's now almost kickoff time. Good to see so many ilkeston supporters here including Andrew Nally.

There are five different seating areas at this ground. Some are without cover.

The teams are now out . Ilkeston are wearing their home colours and Stratford are wearing Orange shirts and black shorts.
