Ilson legend John Knapper has returned to Eastwood as Assistant Manager I believe. John was an important midfield cog during Keith Alexander’s reign and was an ace penalty taker who rarely if ever missed from the spot. Most people however remember when he got sent off against Rushen n Diamonds in the FA Cup when he ran into the ref accidentally and completely floored him. The ref did not see the funny and sent him off! John also served Belper Town, Eastwood Town and Alfreton Town. A true gent!
