    Southern League kicks off in 5 days (5th August)

    If we had stayed in the Southern League then our season would start in 5 days. 
    I for one enjoyed visiting the new grounds. 
    We had some memorable away days last  season: 7 wins, 7 draws, 7 defeats.
    Wins at : Coalville 4-1, Royston 2-1, Redditch 4-1, Needham Market 3-1, Bromsgrove Sporting 3-2, Stourbridge 2-1, Kings Langley 2-1. 

    Good luck to our Derbyshire neighbours, Long Eaton United and Mickleover.  After seeing them against Ilkeston in the pre-season friendly, I expect  Mickleover to make the playoffs. Long Eaton will do well if they can stick around mid-table but I thought that last season and they got promoted.  
    First match, Long Eaton travel to Leamington while Mickleover go to St Ives Town.
