Bank Holiday Monday sees us entertain Whitby Town at the NMG. The Seasiders started like us with three wins but then lost on Tuesday night. On the opening day they beat Atherton Collieries 2-0 at home. They followed that up with two 3-1 away wins at Guiseley and Marine before succumbing to a 4-2 home reversal against Worksop. On Saturday the Seasiders are home to Ashton United.

So Whitby have won both of their away games so far and Ilkeston have won both of their home games.
Ilkeston have been excellent in their previous two home games with emphatic wins against Gainsborough and Workington.
Can we make it three straight home wins or will Whitby extend their sequence of wins on the road?

It's a pity the two Whitby fixtures weren't reversed and we were going Whitby on August Bank Holiday Monday.
It would have been a summer treat for our fans. I bet we could have filled two buses easily.

After the surprise setback against Bradford Park Avenue, we turn our attention to Whitby Town at home this Bank Holiday Monday kickoff 3pm. Whitby also surprisingly lost on Saturday so have 9 points, the same as Ilkeston. Both will be keen to make amends. Results in this tight league are looking unpredictable with most teams being capable of beating their opponents.
Gary Hayward will certainly be looking for a big improvement after such an off day at Bradford.
We've comfortably won our two previous home games so hopefully we can bounce back to winning ways in front of a decent and noisy NMG Bank Holiday crowd.
