I fear the worst for next weekend, they’re undefeated and we are poor. What’s gone wrong ? 3 games in smashing the goals in for fun with a tight defence, confidence sky high playing as a unit and then it all goes tit’s up.

Based on the last 2 games could be a right drubbing, hope not.

We have nothing to lose going into this one. It looks like a home banker but I think we might do better than expected. I don't expect us to win but I do expect us to perform better.

Is it not their usual charge? It’s £12 at Ilkeston for those who have to pay to get in. You pay £1 more for having your pants pulled down Alex so that’s a pound a pull which sounds cheap to me!

Our last visit to The King of Caravans Arena was Bank Holiday Monday 2nd Jan 2023 and the match ended 1-1.
Jamie Ward gave us a half time lead and Mickleover scored a late equaliser.

This was the Ilkeston Town team ( only two remain):

When you look at some of the names you think, WHY ?????

Thabang Dube, with a name like that you think you’d remember him - I dont
Dan Dradley - expensive passenger
Reco Fife - came back “home”, must have lost his keys and got locked out.
Lee Tomlin - coulda shoulda woulda made more from him but obviously he wasn’t committed and was possibly pressured to come and then thought I really don’t need this.
Dempsey Allott John - first 2/3 games was brilliant but kept going down the same cul de sac every game there after and was sussed by all the opposing defences.

There’s got to be many more why’s on our 40+ team sheets submitted last season

Big test today for manager Gary Hayward. After 3 defeats can he turn things round? Playing against unbeaten Mickleover will be a real challenge because so far Mickleover have won all 6 of their Southern League Premier Central matches. There will be plenty of support coming from Ilkeston and Mickleover are expecting a bigger than normal gate so it should be a great atmosphere.
