Tuesday night sees one of the biggest matches of the season take place at the NMG.
Macclesfield are the best supported teams in the league and are currently in third place. They are likely tp bring around 400 supporters so it’s going to be a highly charged contest under the lights.
Macclesfield have 16 points from their 8 matches played so far. They will be keen to show an improvement in their away form after losing to Lancaster and FC United while Ilkeston go into the game with some confidence after their 4-0 success against Lancaster City.

Tuesday soon comes round after Saturday and after such an outstanding performance at Lancaster we have what must be our biggest test so far when Macclesfield come to town.
Will we be in dream land again or will it be "after the Lord Mayor's show"?
There is almost a full list of fixtures and several cracking contests.
As well as Ilkeston v Macclesfield there's Marine v Radcliffe, Warrington Rylands v FC United and Worksop v Matlock.
Radcliffe's 100% start must be at risk when they travel to Marine and who would have thought that Ilkeston would make a better start to than Matlock?
Tuesday 26th September 2023
Ashton Utd v Bradford PA
Atherton v Bamber Bridge
Ilkeston v Macclesfield
Marine v Radcliffe
Morpeth v Guiseley
Stafford Rangers v Hyde Utd
Warrington Rylands v FC United
Whitby v Marske
Workington v Lancaster
Worksop v Matlock.
* Basford v Gainsborough moved from Tues 26th Sep to Sat 30th Sep
It's still early days but If we beat Macclesfield we're really back on track

Macclesfield’s three away games so far have been at Bradford, Lancaster and FC United and each of these clubs had their highest home attendance against Macclesfield
Bradford v Macclesfield Attendance 720 (Bradford Avg .Attendance …. 478)
Lancaster v Macclesfield Attendance 649 (Lancaster Avg, Attendance … 470)
FC United v Macclesfield Attendance. 2342 (FC United Avg. Attendance…1787)
Ilkeston’s average home attendance so far is 762.
Our biggest attendance was 991 against Worksop.
Our only home night match was against Gainsborough and was our lowest attendance of 529.
It's doubtful that our match against Macclesfield will top the Worksop attendance because our night matches are not as well attended as the 3 o’clock kickoffs but it could be close.

It's Matchday and it's the big one so if you're coming to the game tonight, be early to avoid the expected congestion around the ground and queues at the turnstiles. We're expecting 300-400 from Macclesfield so il's going to be really busy.
It's recommended that local supporters arrive at least an hour before kickoff.
