    Football tonight (Tue 3rd Oct)

    There are four matches tonight in the Northern Premier

    Ashton v Morpeth
    Atherton v Hyde
    Gainsborough v Matlock
    Marske v FC United

    If Ashton United maintain their 100% home record with a win against Morpeth, they will go above Ilkeston into 3rd place.
    Matlock have a chance to improve their indifferent start when they visit Gainsborough Trinity.
    Worksop Town play against Blyth Spartans in their FA Cup replay

    We're into the final. 5 minutes for most matches now 
    Good fightbacks by Morpeth from 0-4 down to 3-4 and by Matlock from 1-5 down to 3-5 but it's nearly time.

    Missed one other result guiseley have beat somebody 10-1 tonight in the county cup

    Bamber Bridge had a change of luck last night when they beat National League North neighbours Chorley in the Lancashire FA County Cup. The match ended 1-1 and was decided by penalties which went the way of Bamber Bridge by 4-3.

    Matlock suffered another bad result conceding five goals against struggling Gainsborough Trinity. They have now lost 4 of their last 5 matches including an FA Cup defeat. They have only 14 points from 11 matches and six of those have come from relegation certainties Marske United.

    Marske have now lost their last seven matches conceding 28 goals in the process. 

    Atherton Collieries have lost their last five and are the league’s lowest scorers with just seven goals scored in ten matches.
