At the Supporters meeting last night attended by Andrew Nally, Mark Frost and 24 supporters
Main points
Mark Frost handed out papers showing match day income and expenses for every home game and wages costs. Over the season this showed that match day income alone does not cover player wage costs
Player wages exceeded match income by £31974
The deficit and other running costs has to be covered by income from pitch hire, sponsorship, bar profits and other fundraising events.
* Andrew Nally appealed for more participation from supporters in events at the NMG other than matches.
* Andrew Nally spoke of repairs needing to be done in the clubhouse and improvements he wanted to make.
* When asked about Tom Cursons he said that the player was unlikely to be still with us at the start of next season due to there being so much interest from higher cubs. He is contracted to Ilkeston but we would not stand in his way if a chance of betterment came his way. We would of course try to get a fee for him and include a sell on clause in his sale contract.
* We were also told that Ilkeston had been invited to request a return to the Southern League. Andrew said we have not made such a request. It was thought that promotion prospects would be better in the Southern League but from a financial viewpoint Northern Premier was better. Therefore we will go along with what ever league we were allocated to. Which ever league that is, we will be aiming for promotion.
* The Club plan to reinstate the paper match day programme next season
* Next season the Club intend to end the free admission for under 16’s and charge £2 in line with many other clubs.
