Tuesday night turned out to be a really bad night for Ilkeston. The match at home to Hednesford was postponed  due to a waterlogged pitch and the other games played went against them. Frickley beat Matlock, Sutton Coldfield beat Marine and Skelmersdale won at Workington.
Marine are now in the last place above the drop zone and they have 14 points more than Ilkeston. Tonight it was hoped that we could improve our chances of escaping relegation but instead it got very much worse. We still have fifteen matches left but it now needs a sensational run of victories to have any hope of avoiding the inevitable.
