Ilkeston enter the FA Cup competition at the 1st Qualifying round stage on 31st August 2024.
Will we be lucky enough to receive a home tie?
For the last three seasons we have been drawn away from home.
The last time we received a home draw in the FA Cup was on 12 Sep 2020 when we were drawn at home to Shepshed Dynamo winning 2-0 with goals by Troke and Goodson (2)
Last season (2023-24) we fell at the first hurdle losing 0-3 at Mickleover.
Season 2022-23 we won our 1st qualifying round match away at Matlock 2-0 before being drawn away to Anstey Nomads who beat us on penalties after a replay.
Season 2021-22 we won our preliminary round match away at Quorn by 2-0 before losing 1-2 away at Halesowen in the 1st qualifying round

Last seasons away loss to mickleover was shocking. I think one of the lowest points the club has been in under Nally.

When we played Mickleover they were flying with a 100% record having won their first six league matches.
Ilkeston had just lost three on the bounce, We lost 0-1 at FC United, 1-4 at Bradford Park Avenue then 2-4 at home to Whitby.
The FA Cup defeat at Mickleover was Gary Hayward’s last game in charge.
I don't think we played that badly. I thought Declan Eratt-Thompson was the best player on the field.
Our worst performance in my opinion was the 1-4 defeat at Bradford.

Yeh Mickleover, Bradford, and Workington were bad ones, but the worst performance of last season (by a country mile in my opinion) was this one ...
