Montel Gibson Joins The Bulls
18th June 2024 by Hereford FC -
We’re delighted to announce the signing of forward, Montel Gibson, as Paul Caddis continues to bolster his squad.
The ex-League 2 forward joined Notts County aged 18, from where he would spend time on loan at Romulus, Hednesford Town and Sutton Coldfield Town. He would return to League 2 in 2020 with a move to Grimsby Town under manager, Ian Holloway.
More recently Montel has played for Telford United, helping them to reach the play-off final against Leamington.
Speaking about his new signing, Caddis said: “Montel is a player that every non-league club is aware of and likely had on their list. He’s a really sought after striker and we are pleased he has decided to join us. “A real nuisance in attack, but with a work ethic and quality to match, I know for a fact he’s a player this club will love and you supporters will enjoy watching. “An all or nothing character but with the quality to go with it, I am very excited to work with Montel and he comes into a really strong, connected group of players.
”Welcome to Edgar Street, Montel.
Hereford finished 11th in the National League North last season, six points short of making the playoffs

From this write up he's never played for us then

He played in the newly reformed Ilkeston Towns first ever game against Uttoxeter Town. Well only just has he could not find the ground and only arrived ten minutes before kick off. I always thought he was a class act but always seems to find it difficult to settle at one club.

Montel Gibson has always been one of my favourite players and yes he's always on the move if he gets a better offer. He once said to me "I have a family so I have to chase the money."
Who can blame him?

I find that a load of rubbish as he has always got paid well. More like if he gets dropped he has a cry then moves on . Just my opinion...
