Just what we needed, a hard away game 3 days before what could be a money spinning tie. Which is more important, league or FA cup?

Worksop are currently 2nd in the table with 16 points from 7 matches.
Their only defeat was 0-1 against Macclesfield. 
The match against Ilkeston will be Worksop’s first home game since 24th August when they beat Blyth Spartans 5-2.
Their last three matches including an FA Cup game have all been away and they’ve won them all. 
Jordan Burrow has scored in each of Worksop’s last 5 matches.

Worksop lost only 3 home matches last season one of which was against Ilkeston. L’Varn Brandy and Jamie Walker gave us a 2-1 victory after Jordan Burrow had put Worksop ahead.

It’s MATCHDAY No 8 in the league tonight and not many of our supporters are expecting anything other than a defeat. Worksop have invested heavily in their squad and are obviously a strong side but Deaks and this Ilkeston team go into every game thinking they can win. There are no certainties in football and outcomes can change in an instant with a lucky break, a sending off or a refereeing decision. Worksop are definitely favourites to win but that was the case last season when we came away with all 3 points. If Tom Cursons keeps his scoring run going we have a chance. 
 Again we go into the game without Declan Eratt-Thompson who is probably our most influential player but the other players have stepped up. Declan and Mitchell Robinson may be out for several weeks but Deaks is hopeful of bringing in an attacking midfield player from a higher league and if comes off, we may see him tonight. 

There’s a full schedule of matches tonight. It’s early days but the league is starting take shape. Didn’t expect Hebburn to have made such a good start and didn’t expect Warrington Rylands and Matlock to be at the wrong end of the table.
There are some key games tonight including our game at Worksop and leaders Macclesfield face 4th placed Ashton. Our local rivals Basford and Mickleover clash at Greenwich Avenue and Matlock with new signings hope to kick start their season against Gainsborough.

One of Ilkeston players has hit the boardings . It's Tom Marshall and he's ok.  Daniel picks up a booking for a foul.  Worksop have made the better start.  Good effort by Hall for Worksop but it's wide.      0-1.    52mins

Great effort By Hutchinson but his shot goes across the face of Ilkeston's goal. worksop shot goes into the side netting. Worksop are on top now.         0-2.    71 mins
