Wasn't it a Monday night at their place and they had a man sent off at the end for nailing one of ours. Think we won 3-2.

Could it have been the Monday after a trophy match? We rested loads of players against bromsgrove or was it halesowen?

We definitely don't want to go there for a replay. I would rather go up to Morpeth and get that trip done.

Coleshill and beyond

October is a month opportunity for Ilkeston. Opportunity to advance in the FA Trophy and opportunity to improve our position in the league table. At the end of October we will have completed a 1/3 of our matches.  

Sat 05th   Coleshill (FAT )    Home 
Tue 08th   Morpeth              Away 
Sat 12th   Workington          Away
Sat 19th   Guiseley              Home
Tue 22nd  Hyde                   Home
Sat 26th   Prescot                Away   or FA Trophy if we beat Coleshill  

We start with a good opportunity to progress in the FA Trophy. 
We then have the two long distance away matches  at Morpeth and Workington.
Morpeth lost their first 3 matches but have since recovered. In their last 4 matches they have beaten Ashton and drawn with Hebburn, Guiseley and Hyde so this won’t be an easy trip.
Workington away is always a difficult game. 
We then have two home games that we would really like to win because Guiseley and Hyde are both likely to be rivals looking to get into the playoff positions. 
The final league fixture in October is away to Prescot Cables but hopefully this will be replaced by a FA Trophy tie.  

If we get off to a good start against Coleshill it should give us confidence and belief that we can get a result at Morpeth.
I think we need 4 points from the two away games at Morpeth and Workington and 4 points from Guiseley and Hyde at home if we are still to be around the playoff places at the end of October.
No games are easy so 8 points from a possible 12 would be a good return in my opinion.

Nearly a second goal for Ilkeston Brandy gets the ball past Warmington but a defender clears off the line.  Then a chance for Coleshill as their shot following a free kick hits an Ilkeston defender.    1-0.    12 mins

Good Cursons effort from Walker's cross but keeper saves at his post.  Meikle long shot is saved.  Both teams are trying to attack.     1-0.     20 mins
