Ilkeston exited the FA Trophy after relinquishing a 2-0 lead and conceding twice in two minutes at the start of the second half. As the game looked set to be decided by penalties Coleshill skipper Sam Tie hit a 90th minute winner to cap a disappointing day for the Robins.
Callum Minkley did well to prevent an early Coleshill chance before L’Varn Brandy gave Ilkeston a 7th minute lead hitting home Tom Cursons’s cross. Five minutes later Brandy was close to doubling his tally when he got the ball past keeper Tyrese Warmington but a defender got back to clear off the line. Soon after that Warmington kept out a fine first time effort by Cursons from Jamie Walker’s cross. Coleshill hit back with a shot from Silla which Matt Yates held on to despite it taking a deflection. Ben Usher-Shipway then produced a fine piece of skill down the left but his ensuing cross was not taken advantage of. At the other end Sam Parker’s cross picked out Cursons who’s connection was just too high. Then on 44 minutes Ilkeston deservedly doubled their lead when Jordan Stevens  played Cursons through and the Robins leading scorer made no mistake with just Warmington to beat.
Coleshill stunned Ilkeston with two quick goals after the interval by Usher-Shipway and Taylor Carter-Byrne and the momentum temporarily swung their way. On the hour, Cursons had a chance for Ilkeston when played in by Casey Johnson but he saw his effort hit the post. There were more escapes to come for Coleshill. Warmington spilled the the ball and was rescued by a defender before tipping a shot over the bar. There was then a frantic goalmouth scramble which ended with Harvey Kirby-Moore’s shot being parried by Warmington before George Wilkinson fired over. Coleshill were also making chances though and from one of them Sam Tie the got the late winner forcing home a corner. Six minutes added time followed but Coleshill held firm for a famous win.
