Rovers Announce New Manager

Gresley Rovers Football Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of James Jepson as the club's new first team manager.
Jepson, 42, is a familiar face to many Moat Ground supporters, having made 91 appearances for the club as a player. He was a key member of Gary Norton's 2011/2012 Midland Alliance title-winning team and, having played for the club across a couple of spells, has a deep understanding of the club's history and culture.
Jepson's recent managerial experience includes a spell at Step 3 with Basford United last season and assistant manager and coaching roles at Ilkeston Town prior to that. He took charge at Basford last season when they were winless rock bottom of the league and facing relegation but successfully guided them to a position of safety before his departure in February this year. His managerial experience also includes a successful stint at Eastwood CFC, where he earned promotion from Step 6, as well as brief periods as player-manager at AFC Hinckley and Rugby Town.
