Falling attendances at the NMG
This season despite the team doing well we have seen attendances fall. At Saturday’s match against Worksop the gate was half of what it was last season. Many clubs are facing the same problem. Mickleover’s attendance on Tuesday night was only 190. This season's average attendance in the Northern Premier League is 713. Last year it was 812.
Gate money each month should be enough to cover the monthly wage bill and it hasn’t been doing that. That means Andy has to had to cover the shortfall every month. We can’t expect Andy to do this indefinitely. So unless attendances pick up, the club may be forced to reduce the wages bill because our club has to live within it’s means.

Yes because people are skint. I've been on 3 and 4 day weeks for 18 months.
I know the clubs hands are tied but when it's £4.50 / £5 a pint and most of the pubs up town are £2.50. what are people going to do?
I could carry on but it pisser's me off when about falling gates

Thank you for your response Alex.
Andy is aware that many people are struggling and just can't afford to attend matches. Is the problem that there is so much football on television that people can't be bothered to turn out to watch live football at non league level? Or, is the fall in gates just down to it being Christmas, an expensive time of the year?
Whatever the reason, the football club has to find a way to forward. If the Club can't find a way to increase income then the only solution is to reduce costs.
Is there a way to get more people into matches?
Maybe we should reduce the number of people getting into matches free of charge.
Should we make a small charge for kids coming to games instead of letting them in free.
