Of course this a tough game but its a chance for us make up for Tuesday’s defeat at Hyde and show our intent to pursue a playoff place. In my opinion we’re playing against Guiseley at a good time. They have lost their last three matches so they will have lost that invincibility feeling they had when they were 17 games unbeaten.
The 3 recent defeats were against Prescot (A), Lancaster (H) and Morpeth (A)
Guiseley are currently 2nd with 56 points from 30 matches played
Ilkeston are currently 6th with 48 points from 29 matches played.
Guiseley have the 3rd best home record in the league
Their home record is : P15, W8, D5, L2, F 29, A 15, Points 29
Their average home attendance is 687
Their highest league attendance was 1055 against Basford.
Their top scorer is Will Longbottom with 19 goals

Guiseley manager Mark Bower insists he "won't accept" their recent run of form after the Lions suffered a third straight defeat on Saturday. Second-half goals from James Foley and on-loan Everton defender Bradley Moonan were enough for Prescot Cables as they stunned their high-flying opponents at Valerie Park. Earlier this season, Guiseley enjoyed a Northern Premier League Premier Division record-equalling 17-match unbeaten run which only came to an end against Morpeth Town at the end of January.
But since their 2-0 defeat at Craik Park, Guiseley have gone on to lose their next two, scoring just once during that time. It proved to be a tough afternoon on Merseyside for the Lions, who had also gone on a remarkable run of scoring in 24 consecutive league games, prior to their decent slump. Second-half goals from James Foley and on-loan Everton defender Bradley Moonan were enough for Prescot Cables as they stunned their high-flying opponents at Valerie Park.
They remain well-placed to secure play-off football come the end of the season, but with Ashton United just two points adrift of them in the table, boss Bower - who returned to the club for a second stint as manager last April - has urged his players to rediscover their cutting edge in front of goal.
"In the last three games, we've had more possession, more final-third entries, more corners, more shots, more chances, and our xG (expected goals) has been higher," he said "But we've only scored one goal in those three games and conceded some really poor ones. "When things like that happen, and we're not getting the rub of the green, it ends up turning into results like this.
"I can't overly criticise the players in the dressing room. They've given everything again. "We've got to get back to complete 90-minute performances, because for 75/80 [minutes against Prescot], we were really good. “I'm disappointed that we've lost three on the bounce. It’s unacceptable, we won’t accept it, [and] we’ll work hard and work our way out of it."

.There are plenty of intriguing fixtures to keep an eye on this weekend, as the play-off race prepares to take centre stage in the Northern Premier League.
The three teams immediately below the top five all face sides currently above them, in what could be a pivotal round of games. The hardest assignment on paper comes for Warrington Rylands, who host a Macclesfield side currently 20 points clear at the top of the division. Neil Reynolds' Blues will be looking to bounce back from defeat at the first attempt after seeing their 12-game unbeaten run come to an end at Gainsborough Trinity in midweek.
Sixth-placed Ilkeston Town face Guiseley, who have been in the midst of a mini-crisis after losing three successive league games. Nevertheless, the Lions still remain in a handy position to secure play-off football and will hope to use home comforts to their advantage, against an Ilkeston side that could end the weekend in the top five, should they win and Stockton Town drop points at relegation-threatened Mickleover.
Hebburn Town, another within touching distance of the teams above, welcome Worksop Town to Hebburn Sports Ground. The Hornets are currently seven points adrift of the play-offs but have two games in hand on fifth-placed Stockton. Hebburn are currently five games without victory in the league, and with Worksop only winning two of the previous eight matches on their travels, it promising to be an intriguing bout.
Elsewhere, third-placed Ashton United host a Lancaster City side buoyed by their midweek victory over Prescot Cables. The Dolly Blues' form has been nothing short of indifferent on the road, with four wins and four defeats to show from their last eight games away from the Giant Axe. Nevertheless, they remain in the top half of the table and will pose a real threat to an Ashton side keen to record their fifth successive league win at Hurst Cross.
Despite being cut a little further adrift of the top five, Morpeth Town will look keep their slim play-off hopes alive with victory at home to Prescot Cables. Three wins in the last six mean Prescot find themselves three points clear of the drop zone, although their away form has been woeful of late - Cables have just five points to show from their last 10 games on the road.
Hyde United won in the league for the first time in 10 matches in midweek, and they will go in search of back-to-back triumphs with a trip to Workington this time around. Workington have lost three of their last five at home and would dearly love to put further ground between themselves and the bottom four.
Another of the sides on the fringes of the relegation zone, Bamber Bridge, visit FC United of Manchester. The Brig were beaten in midweek after winning their two previous games, and it doesn't get any easier as they prepare to take on an FC United side that have lost just once in the league at Broadhurst Park since Mark Beesley took charge back in September.
Gainsborough will hope to capitalise on any potential FC United slip-up and join them on 39 points, which can be achieved with victory over basement side Blyth Spartans. Away day woes have been the story of Spartans' season in recent times, with a run of just one point from their last nine on the road, four goals scored and 24 conceded.
The final games of the round see Leek Town host Whitby Town and Matlock Town make the trip to Basford United. Whitby and Basford start the weekend in the bottom four, although the former would climb out of the drop zone, should they better Bamber Bridge's result. Basford, beaten for the first time under new boss Willis Francis last weekend, come into this one with a real feel-good factor off the pitch after handing new deals to manager Ryan Cresswell and three of his senior players - including captain Josh Granite - earlier this week.

Ten minutes to kick off. It's a grass pitch at Guiseley and it's wet.

Here come the teams from the corner of the ground.

Walker shot saved by Cracknell's outstretched right hand.. Parker concedes a corner. Scramble from the corner as we struggle to clear. Great cross by Daniel, I think, but Walker completely misses his connection. That was a chance 0-0. 8 mins

No real threat from Ilkeston so far. Dixon shoots from distance but it's wide. Minkley does well in defence. No chances at either end. Very partisan crowd here, bordering on nasty. 0-0 25. mins
