Saturday's 4-0 win has given us an opportunity to get back into playoff contention. We're 4 points behind Stockton so if we can beat them there's only one point in it and we have a slightly better goal difference.
They have one of the best home records in the league ie : P17. W9. D3. L5. F28. A19. Pts 30
But their home form has slipped recently and they have won only one of their last five home matches.
These are their last five home results
Sat 18 Jan. Bamber Bridge Draw 2 - 2
Sat 25 Jan Gainsborough Lost. 2 - 3
Wed 29 Jan Leek Won. 1 - 0
Sat 8 Feb W Rylands Lost. 1 - 3
Sat 1 Mar. Basford Draw. 1 - 1
Stockton had an impressive win at Ashton in their last match and are currently unbeaten in their last four including a win at the New Manor Ground.

Yes, Stockton are a good side but so were Lancaster. A lot of our supporters were saying that the season is over. Personally I don't think it is. I reckon we can win at Stockton and the playoffs are then no longer out of reach. With maximum support this can be one of our great away days.
Don't miss out. Book your seat on one of the buses.
Request a seat on Facebook page " Ilkeston Town SG Away Travel" - Zane will confirm if there's a seat available.

Last season Guiseley imploded in the run in losing 7 of their last 9 matches. Will that happen to any of playoff contenders this season? It could be happening to Ashton who have failed to win any of their last five (3 draws and 2 defeats). Warrington Rylands made the playoffs last season but have only an outside chance this season. Gainsborough also have a chance and are unbeaten in 9 matches but 5 of those 9 were draws. Ashton have what looks like the least difficult run-in so should make the playoffs. Hyde United have finished 6th for the last two seasons and could come close again with 4 of their last 7 matches against teams in the relegation area.
Stockton are best placed to take the final play off spot if they can beat off Ilkeston’s challenge this Saturday. But if Ilkeston were to win then only a point separates them with six more matches to play.

I'm assuming we'll be without Jamie Walker for this crucial game but the squad is still good enough to pull off a surprise result. I would like to see Jordan Stevens in the team. He drifts in and out of games sometimes but like Walker he can produce magic touches that create goal opportunities. Providing that he doesn't get roughed up, Harvey Kirby-Moore is getting better all the time and he could be our match winner. I also think we should start with Declan Eratt-Thompson. He's our most inflential player along with Connor Dixon. Colin Daniel has also become a definite starter and we most certainly need L'Varn Brandy.
This would be my team, (and its a good bench) :
1 Yates, 2 McDonald, 3 Charles, 4 Eratt-Thompson, 5 Marshall, 6 Parker, 7 Brandy, 8 Daniel, 9 Kirby-Moore, 10 Dixon, 11 Stevens
Bench: 12 Meikle, 14 Essien, 15 Minkley, 16 Abdullah, 17 Hardwick.

For supporters making their own way to the Stockton game. the location of the ground is a little different as it is within the grounds of Stockton Sixth Form College and Our Lady and St Bede Catholic Academy, Bishopton Road West, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 0QD.
The facilities were built in partnership with The Football Foundation. In total, the project cost approximately £1.4 million, with close to £200,000 spent on the drainage of the pitches and the remainder on the new building containing 6 new changing rooms, 2 changing rooms for officials, an educational room, a club room and a drama and dance studio.
In July 2015, the club narrowly won approval from planners for expansion, at a cost of around £800,000. The plans, which had been recommended for approval by Stockton's planning officers, included fencing, flood lights, stands, dug outs, a turnstile, a changing block, a storage container and refreshments room. They had previously been given the green light a year previously to erect a 200-seat stand, floodlighting, artificial (3G) turf pitch, pay booth, changing facilities and toilet and refreshment areas.

Stockton's average attendance of 826 is the 4th best in the league and they're expecting a four figure crowd on Saturday. Their two biggest league gates were 1419 against Macclesfield and 1304 against nearest neighbours, Whitby. Their biggest gate was 1545 against Oldham in the FA Trophy.

Macclesfield could secure promotion and earn their place in the National League North for next season when they welcome Bamber Bridge to the Leasing.com Stadium this weekend.
Despite recording a 4-0 victory over Morpeth Town last Saturday, Robbie Savage’s side were forced to put their champagne on ice as Worksop Town’s 3-1 win over Hyde United delayed their Northern Premier League title celebrations. Now, the Silkmen know that a win against the Brig will mathematically seal their ascension to Step 2 of the non-league pyramid, regardless of the Tigers’ result against Warrington Rylands.
Worksop’s opponents, the Blues, will be hoping to keep their dreams of reaching the play-offs alive. They currently sit eight points adrift of Stockton Town in fifth, but Craig Parry’s men are currently on a seven-game winning streak as they look to tie down a guaranteed home play-off clash, come the end of the season.
Arguably the fixture of the round, the aforementioned Stockton welcome Ilkeston Town to the Map Group UK Stadium in a crucial battle for the final play-off position. A victory for the Robins would close the gap between themselves and their north-east opponents to just one point, but adversely, three points for the Anchors could see them leapfrog Ashton United into fourth place, depending on the outcome of the Robins’ trip to Leek Town.
Elsewhere, third-placed Guiseley make the trip to Hebburn Town in their bid to book their own home play-off clash next month.
Morpeth Town are another team whose play-off ambitions are still in the balance. They will look to bounce back away at Lancaster City this weekend after their five-game unbeaten run came to an end at the hands of the runaway league leaders last weekend.
Towards the middle of the table, Gainsborough Trinity host FC United of Manchester at the Northolme, while Prescot Cables travel to Tameside to take on Hyde United.
Matlock Town, who recently appointed Adam Clayton as their new manager until the end of the season following the departure of Ryan Cresswell, start the weekend four points adrift of safety, but a win against already-relegated Blyth Spartans on home soil would go a long way towards helping them avoid the drop.
Standing between the Gladiators and safety is Whitby Town, with the Seasiders making the journey west to Derbyshire to face off against Mickleover, who are also in dire need of three points in their battle to stave off relegation. They will also be hoping that Basford United, who sit four points above them in 20th place, drop points at home to Workington.

It's MATCH DAY and a really tough one
We have to win to keep our playoff hopes alive.
We will be outnumbered by a thousand Stockton fans rooting for their team.
But we'll give it our best shot.
The tougher the task, the greater the joy if we win.

Here we are at this very compact little ground. There's no cover on 3 sides of the ground so hope it doesn't rain. There's 20 minutes to kickoff. If there's a gate of 1000 the ground will be packed. Good to see plenty of Ilkeston fans.

It looks like a big attendance, nearly all of the seats are taken and people are standing all around the pitch. And there's plenty of noise. 10 minutes to kickoff
Behind one goal there's a sign saying "Home Supporters". That's unusual.
There's loads of stewards on duty.

Great drive forward by Stevens. but keeper has it. What a Chance for Brandy but he doesn't connect properly.
At the other end Stockton win a corner. Yates punches clear. Bright start. 0-0. 4 mins
