Ilkeston Town Stats 2024-25 Review Part Two Apps, Goals and Career Record

Mathew Yates finished the season at the top of the appearance charts but sadly will not be with Ilkeston Town next season as he has signed for local rivals Basford United. Tom Cursons unsurprisingly finished the season as top scorer. His record of 25 goals in 30 games earned him a move to EFL club Harrogate Town managed by Ex Robin Simon Weaver. Jamie Walker finished second top scorer with ten goals and reached a career record 192 appearances with seven of them coming from the bench. Jamie has played more games than anyone else for the most recent incarnation of Ilkeston Town although he is followed closely by captain Tom Marshall who is one appearance behind Jamie with 191. Hopefully players will make their 200th appearance in the opening months of the 2025-26 season.

Callum Minkley and Sam Parker both had very consistent seasons and barring unforeseen injuries will be looking to hit the 100 appearance mark next season. Declan Errat-Thompson passed the 100 mark making a total of 92 starts with 21 appearances as a sub. Jonathan Wafula made the greatest number of substitute appearances with 20 just one more than Alex Hardwick. Finally stalwart and fans favourite Alex Marshall will be looking to return to fitness and add to his tally of 138 appearances for the club but it is unlikely that any player will overtake his record of 56 substitute appearances for Ilkeston Town.
