According Companies House a new company was set up yesterday called Ilkeston Town Football Club! A company called Woodberry Seceretarial Ltd are involved and they have five directors. One of them is a Michael Duke who is an administrator by trade and has been a director of over three thousand companies and nearly all he has resigned the same day he was appointed! Woodberry have two active directors in Neil Dolby aged 47 and David Kaye 66. Michael Duke has resigned as have Simon Evans aged 36 and Barbara Kahan who is 86! Michael Duke is registered as Ilkeston Town Football Clubs sole director!
If it makes sense to any one out there please let us know what you think is happening!
It does appear that there still could be football at the NMG next season.
This leaves Ilkeston United Community Football Club left in limbo somewhat!

Posters on the excellent Tony Kempster NonLeague Matters website have informed that the names I have given in the forming of new club Ilkeston Town Football Club are probably are Company Formation Agents who form a company on a persons behalf of another party!
"Woodberry and Kahan sound like company formation agents. Such agents just go through the formalities of setting up and registering a company on behalf of their clients then immediately step down as founding directors before passing the newly-formed company over to them." Posted by Paulh66.
Indeed Barbara Kahan has been a director of over 30,000 companies apparantly! Now that's a bit clearer all we need to do now is wait until the actual real owner identify him or herself!

When the owner /owners of the newly formed company ILKESTON TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED is /are revealed then the future of football in Ilkeston may become clearer. If they are successful with their takeover bid then supporters can look forward to playing again this coming season (albeit at non league step 6). It is not a certainty that they will get the nod from the Liquidators but they have quietly and skillfully manoeuvred themselves into pole position. The Liquidators always act in the best interests of the creditors. Apparently another party has now shown an interest and the Supporters Group have already registered an offer but neither of these would be able to play this coming season. They would have to wait until season 2018/19 and they would start at one rung lower at non league level 7. The Supporters Group are still optimistic that their hard work and plans to start a community club could win the day. An announcement should be made very soon.

From Mark Duffy's Advertiser report we now know that the Liquidators have put the case of two serious bidders to the landlords of the NMG, Erewash Borough Council for them to decide who is best to form a new football cub in the town.
The proposed new club being formed by IFCSG is not one of them.
The report also says that it is extremely likely that a club will be playing at the New Manor Ground this coming season.
