The season ahead

.
Early days but six matches in we have an idea who the strongest teams may be.

12 points:  FC United:
4 wins and one defeat.  They are the biggest club in our league.  After many years paying off  loans on their ground, is this the year they come good? Have heard that they’re paying big wages to certain players. They’ve had an easy start apart from Guiseley.

12 points:  Rushall :
Have made a good start with  3 wins and 3 draws. I was told by one of our visiting officials that, they have 9 players over 6 ft. Wins against Leek, Guiseley and Ashton. Draws against Rylands, Stockton and Hednesford so they couldn’t have had a more difficult start.

12 Points:  Rylands:
Rubbish ground but they always seem to do well. Good wins against Bamber Bridge and Gainsborough

11 points:  Ashton United:
Made the playoffs last season and I’ve heard some one is giving them financial backing this season. They’re the only team who have beaten FC United.

10 points: Bamber Bridge:
We’ve played against them so we know how good they are

10 points: Lancaster :
Made a good start but their 3 wins have been against weak opponents so don’t expect them to stay near the top.

10 points: Hednesford:
They’ve got money and were many peoples preseason favourites. They won their first three matches but picked up only one point from their next three.

10 points: Gainsborough:
Also preseason favourites. They’ve had a tough start so have done well to get 10 points. They’ve played Ashton, Ilkeston, Rylands, Stockton, Lancaster and Cleethorpes.

9 points: Stockton:
Only just missed out last season so expected to do well this season. They’ve only had one defeat (against Gainsborough) but three draws has held them back.

9 points: Ilkeston:
Inconsistent start but three wins means they're only thee points behind the current league leaders

8 points: Cleethorpes
They were an unknown quantity and have made a steady start including a draw with Bamber Bridge. Their wins were against Hyde and Stocksbridge.  Don’t expect them to be higher than mid table.

7 points: Guiseley:
Made the playoffs last season and expected to do well. Their three defeats were against Bamber, Rushall and FC United so they’ve had a difficult start and they’re expected to be playoff challengers again

7 points: Prescot Cables:
Very good home record last season but not expected to be near the playoffs.  They've made a good start though. They beat Hednesford 3-0 and have drawn with Stockton, Ashton, Leek and Rylands

7 points: Hyde United
Expected to be around the playoffs but not made a great start.  Good point against Stockton but  losses against Cleethorpes, Guiseley and Ilkeston.

Re: The season ahead

Thanks Matchman. You (and Whiteball) do the groundwork and this thread is a great example of that effort. So, Il'son's start now looks and feels better already!

Re: The season ahead

So results haven't been great or good but I think we have missed out on 4 points so far this season and a fantastic cup replay.

Gainsborough at home. We did enough for a point. They wasn't better than us.

Warrington away - what a joke of a game. We put the same 1st half in as against Hyde but we didn't score.

Fa cup - draw was a fair result.

We have a ok side, which isn't has good as last season but this league isn't has good as last season.

Rumour as it, we have signed a couple of players.

Interesting that?

1. Are these players we wanted before the start of the season?

2. Are these players who are not getting a game?

3. Who are the 1 in 1 out players?

I love this club but sometimes it f***$ my head up
