This is a big match for Rushall who are just two points above the relegation position. They will be thinking that they must win their final two home matches against Ilkeston and Morpeth to avoid consecutive relegations.
From Ilkeston’s viewpoint, a win at Rushall virtually ensures our relegation fears are ended.

Rushall were always a team of over achievers until they made it to the National League North. That turned out to be a step too far and after just avoiding relegation in their first season, they were relegated at the end of their second season. Their two seasons at Step 2 proved to be a costly experience and now they face a possible second relegation from Step3 to Step 4.

Re: Easter Monday 6th April : Rushall Olympic v Ilkeston Town : ko 3pm

Rushall will be smarting after losing a precious point to a late goal at Ashton United on Saturday,
There are now only 4 league matches left including this one. Ilkeston aren’t quite safe and Rushall (only 2 points above the relegation line) are desperate for a win.
The Pics will be fighting for their lives. Their final 3 matches after Ilkeston are against Stockton (away), Morpeth (home) and Hebburn (away). So their 2 home games against Ilkeston and Morpeth are critical.

Come on Ilkeston . Let's get the 3 points.

Charlie Carter and Tyler Whyle were held back from Saturdays match so they’d be fresh for the Rushall match two days later. I really like the squad we currently have. I thought Tom Marshall would be a big miss after his injury but Taylor Anderson has done well replacing him. Jay Abudu has been a great signing as has Daniel Odunaiya. We’ll do well to keep Sam Essien. Good job he’s under contract. I heard that when Alfreton signed Dylan Youmbi, the player they really wanted was his best mate, Sam Essien.  Was that an underhand way of trying to attract Sam?  Robbie Fox won’t like me saying this but I think he’s been great coming on as a sub. Jordan Stevens picked up an early injury against Warrington. Deaks took him off with Rushall in mind. Two games in 48 hours is tough but we have a young side with the exceptions of Daniel, Thornhill and Walker so we’ll be able to cope. The rest of the squad are under 25.

I think the last time we went there we had 2 players sent off.

I've been a couple of times to rushall and it's one of them grounds where we don't get the rub of the green.

If we come away with a point I'll be happy.

Oh yes I remember that game. It was when we were in the Southern League with Jamie Ward as manager.
Willock and Arlott-John were sent off.
I remember the Arlott-John incident. He made a strong tackle on one of their players and several Rushall players pressured the ref into showing a red card.
I knew there was a reason I don’t like Rushall.

That's right. It happen right in front of me. One of the worst bit of reffing I have ever seen.

Willock red card was a poor one as well. If I remember right their player made out he got elbowed in the face.
