End of an Era
After 8 seasons at Matlock Town Ladies fc, tomorrow I’ll pull on that shirt for the very last time after being told last week that Matlock Town no longer want a ladies team and have withdrawn us from the league, it’s been a tough pill to swallow.Over those 8 incredible seasons, I’ve made lifelong friendships, met my wife-to-be, and played against some amazing teams who, just like us, were always fighting to grow the women’s game and inspire the next generation of girls.

The circus is still in town at Matlock ...
Sounds like they gambled on getting moved out of the NPL East league.

Interesting statement tonight from David Hilton ...
Wages were £12,000 a week last year, and at times exceeded £14,000 a week. Sounds like he was having to put £6,000 to £8,000 a week in out of his own pocket. What's that, £300,000+ over the season?
Sounds like he wants out as well.

To be frank Graham Drury appears a bit naive! He’s based in Grantham he signs a contract for a club in the NPL East and expects the southern based players to travel north. As David Hilton mentioned Drury has nearly become our manager on a number of occasions. Looks like we had a lucky escape. I may be being very unfair to Graham Drury and I have only read Hilton’s version of events but it’s a bad look for Matlock. They must be thinking life was much simpler before Dave got involved!

The money DH has put in is his own and not a loan, plus he put 20k into Matlock ladies (who he’s now folded) that’s on top of the £3 million he put into Scunthorpe.
He might as well bought knocking on for £4 million worth of lottery tickets and got a better return in his money

Are you really sure it’s his own money he is putting in and not money he has borrowed from various banks in the names of those clubs he has owned?

Dec Erratt Thompson has now changed his mind and is staying at Matlock
As posted under Deaks heading
Could him staying be connected to Ryan Cresswell going back.
What a circus
How would any player want to get involved with that shower
