I was really worried after watching the first twenty or so minutes. I thought if this is the best we have got we are doomed. Slowly though the team started to piece some moves together and looked to threaten the Shepshed goal. In the second half with the introduction of the well travelled ex Robin  Anthony Dwyer we looked a completely different team. We started making chances and looked the better team and the one most likely to score. I hope Dwyer has signed on as he is a confident looking player and as Matchman says we need a couple more like him to make us a stronger all round team.
On a different note I talked to a number of fans about the falling attendances and nobody could put their finger on exactly why it had happened. The facilities at the NMG are the best in the area so it’s either team performances, fans can’t afford to attend or something the club is doing that is putting fans off. If you looked at the large Ilkeston contingent at Pride Park they can’t all be older fans like me that can’t get that often. It would be interesting to hear from posters why they think gates have plummeted and more importantly what they think the club can to improve attendances!
