I'm thinking 6-6 now... 

The structure that the gaffer talks about may well work IF you have the players who play at this level , sorry but having a lot of players from the lower league is too much to ask . in my opinion only guys ..
Its looking like our Monday`s game v Quorn will be a six pointer this early in the season ..
 

Ilkeston players can’t get rid of the ball quickly enough.  Pharrell replaced by Rowe. 
Pharrell probably had had enough.

So close to No 7 for Bury. but a deflection takes it pst the post. Another Wilson save.  Then another Bury chance is missed.     6-0.   76 mins

Elwalid has to concede a corner which Wilson collects. Newell gets yellow for shirt pulling.  Dudley fires over the bar.     6-0.   86 mins

Carr sends Wilson the wrong way.      7-0.    89 mins

tbh John i wouldnt even bother with a report as the score line says it all ...... We are seriously going to be fighting for our league status this season . A massive six pointer for Monday at this early stage thats mad

Ilkeston took a heavy beating at Gigg Lane where they had no answer to Bury’s superiority. Three first half goals in 6 minutes put Bury in an unassailable position and they added four more before the full time whistle.
Owen Robinson opened the scoring on 19 minutes. Kai Evans made it 2-0 from the spot and Leo Graham added a third on 25 minutes. Mo Touray was Bury’s chief tormentor and he forced a brilliant one handed save from Sam Wilson before Bury scored again through Tom Carr. Just before half time it could of been five when Touray’s fine effort hit the upright.
There was no let up in the second half but Jevin Seaton almost pulled one back for Ilkeston when Shakers keeper Mitchell Allen could only parry his shot. Leo Graham scored for Bury on 54 minutes following a quickly taken free kick, then Touray got the goal he deserved to make it six. Bury didn’t score again until 89 minutes. The final goal came from a penalty by Carr when Lynden Joyce was penalised. It was a second yellow for Joyce followed by a red to complete Ilkeston’s miserable day.​

I didn't think I'd see us perform worse than we did at Hebburn last season, but we managed it yesterday. Exaggeration perhaps, but it felt like a Premier League team playing a Sunday morning pub team. They hit the woodwork 3 times and missed some absolute sitters, it could easily have been 10 or 12. You can change the management team but that still leaves you with a Step 5 team. Surely we'll see some kind of bounce back tomorrow, a win would give us 10 points from the 8 games in August.
