Just arrived at the Littleton ground. It's very much out of town and in the countryside so the internet signal is very poor. The pitch is open to the elements and It's very windy so it looks like being an interesting game. One hour to kickoff.

Ilkeston are going up the slope. It's a scrappy start but the wind is not helping. First corner to Ilkeston. Keeper punches clear but then goes down in apparent agony. I think he landed badly. Quite a long delay as keeper gets treatment. 5 minutes

Keeper is now on his feet but limping. The strong wind is blowing across the pitch. Marshall brought down on edge of area. Shaw takes and Alex Marshall scores. Ilkeston one up. 12 minutes.

Deakin called into action pushing a shot over the bar. Another Ilkeston free kick in scoring position. Shaw to take GOAL! Not sure if Shaw's kick went straight in or if Jemson got a touch. Either way it's 4-0 after 30 minutes

Montel Gibson makes it five 5-1 37 minutes. Cross from left was headed on by Alex Marshall and confidently turned in by Montel.

Bit of late pressing from Littleton. Gibson sets up Alex Marshall but ball is cleared. Smith shot is cleared off line then Lavell White fires just wide of post. Gibson shot well saved by keeper. Strong finish by Ilkeston.
It's half time Ilkeston lead 5-1

It's now raining. Yellow for Littleton player . Desperate save by Littleton keeper as ball swirls in wind. 52 minutes Littleton playing better this half.

Wind is causing Littleton keeper lots of problems. Good defending under pressure by Billy Bennett. Littleton defender heads off line then keeper saves Hour gone. No goals this half. Littleton substitution No.10 replaced by No.16..

Montel brought down . The Littleton player gets his second yellow so has to go. Seemed very harsh. Littleton down to 10 men on 65 minutes.

(I was told after the game that the player swore at the referee)

Good solid defending by Jemson then Shaw. Callum Smith is needing treatment. Now going off and replaced by Fairclough on 71 minutes. Good save Deakin turning a thunderbolt over.

In difficult conditions, Ilkeston got their first away win after blowing away Littleton with five first half goals. There was an encouraging debut by Ben Morris and another promising display from Callum Smith.
