Good run by Alex Marshall but his shot is saved. Good effort by White but keeper saves well. It's all Ilkeston in the early stages. First attack by Adders and they win a free kick. Suddenly Atherstone look dangerous.

Another good effort by Lavell White curls just too high. Brilliant save by Woodward when Alex looked certain to score. Bad foul on Jordan Wheatley causes handbags involving several players. Ref now talking to linesman. Free kick after all that. 0-0 24 minutes

Ilkeston thought they'd scored. Ref appeared to point for a goal for the ball having crossed the line but he was pointing for an Adders free kick. Now Adders free kick just outside area. Great effort only just wide.
Penalty for Atherstone. Looked a bit generous.

We knew the run would come to an end some time. Atherstone had the benefit of a contentious penalty award and they didn't look back.. We gave them a second goal following a defensive mistake and we had a mountain to climb. Even after Montel pulled one back we never really looked like saving the game in the remaining 30 minutes. We now have win at Walsall Wood to make up for this defeat.

Spoke to the Atherstone chairman after the game and he said : You like us can beat any team on your day, Last Saturday against RC Warwick it wasn't our day. Today it wasn't your day.
