Next match : Hinckley AFC (away)

Tomorrow we have another testing away game against Hinckley AFC who are nine points behind us but have three games in hand. After Tuesdays brilliant win against Leicester Road we must have high hopes. In many ways that was probably our best performance so far. We knew that it would be a difficult match and so it turned out but the whole team fought and scrapped for each other like in no other game. Hinckley's performances against their promotion rivals have not been good so far. They beat their deadly rivals Leicester Road and drew with Studley but have lost against, Atherstone, Ilkeston and Walsall Wood twice. Their only other defeat was against Heather St Johns with whom they ground share.
If Ilkeston can repeat the Leicester Road performance and beat Hinckley then it will have been a brilliant week for our supporters and will put us in the best possible frame of mind to face Alfreton in the DSC semifinal. Top scorer, Alex Marshall will be available after the Hinckley game but may find himself on the bench with Tim Hopkinson retaining his place.

Re: Next match : Hinckley AFC (away)

Also playing this weekend :  Atherstone v Leicester Road.
If Leicester Road lose it will be their third consecutive defeat after losing to Uttoxeter and Ilkeston.
If Leicester Road win or draw then Ilkeston could overtake Atherstone and move up to second in the table.
Also playing this weekend :  Racing Club Warwick v Littleton.
Could be a tester for R C Warwick who have a backlog of fixtures to pull in and have to play a midweek game every week until the end of the season.
This coming Tuesday R C Warwick have another difficult match away at Heath St Johns and Leicester Road have to go to Walsall Wood.
Surely Leicester Road can't lose four on the trot. Lets hope they can do us at least one favour by taking points off Atherstone or Walsall Wood.
