Our next scheduled match is Pershore Town at home then the following Saturday we play them again in the return fixture. Pershore are currently 14th and their record is : P29, W8, D6 , L15, F43, A58, GD -15, Points 30.
Their away record is P13, W3, D3, L7, F17, A28, Points 12. So it seems that whilst they don't score many goals they don't concede many either.
Their best results so far have been against Leicester Road with a 3-2 away win and a 0-0 home draw. They also recently beat Littleton 1-0.
Their biggest defeats were against Racing Club Warwick (home) 0-5 and Walsall Wood (away) 0-4. They also lost against Hinckley 2-3 , and Atherstone twice 0-3 and 1-3.

It's important that Ilkeston pick up maximum points from the two Pershore games. As we approach the three quarter point in the season it's pretty tight at the top of the table. The final two months will decide who finishes where and Ilkeston have a fair chance of finishing second providing we don't slip up against unknown quantities like Pershore. There are certain to be a few surprises as the games start to come thick and fast and some teams will gain ground while others lose ground. Of our 14 remaining games, 9 are away. We still have to play R C Warwick twice and Walsall Wood but every game is important in the run in. No matter where we finish it's still been a brilliant season which didn't think we'd get. After dropping three levels we've still had some very competitive games against some decent sides. Who could forget Studley (away,) Heather St Johns (away), Walsall Wood (home) , Atherstone (home), Leicester Road (away) and Hinckley (away).
