For those who don't already know:
It now seems like pretty certain that Ilkeston will not reach the playoffs this season so we will again be playing at level 4 in the Northern Premier League.
This season the NPL has two Divisions at level 4, South East Division and North West Division.
That will change next season when there will be 20 extra teams and three divisions.
The geographical areas for each Division have not yet been revealed and we don’t know which Division we will be in but it’s pretty certain we will be playing against some different teams.
The 20 new teams joining the NPL will be the best teams from level 5.
The make-up of each Division will be determined by geographical area with the intention of the League being to minimise travelling costs for teams in each Division. The aim is to make the total amount of travelling in miles within each Division approximately the same.
It is therefore possible that some of the teams we played against last season will be playing in the NPL at step 4 next season providing that their grounds and facilities meet the standard required.

This is another person’s educated guess. He has assumed that the three Divisions will be
NPL Division One North
NPL Division One West
NPL Division One East
He’s got Ilkeston in the East Division which is made up of the following teams
Cambridge City
Carlton Town
Daventry Town
Heather St John’s
Histon
Holbeach United
Ilkeston Town
Lincoln United
Long Eaton United
Loughborough Dynamo
Sheffield
Shepshed Dynamo
Soham Town Rangers
Spalding United
Staveley M W
St Neots Town
Stamford
Worksop Town
Wisbech Town
Yaxley
Stamford are listed above but that is assuming they don’t get promotion this season .
Interesting to note the following 14 teams appear in both forecasters make up of Division One East.
Cambridge City
Carlton Town
Histon
Holbeach United
Ilkeston Town
Lincoln United
Loughborough Dynamo
Sheffield
Shepshed Dynamo
Soham Town Rangers
Spalding United
St Neots Town
Staveley MW
Worksop Town
As said in the previous post it's all guesswork at the moment.

Whatever happens it looks like we will need to get acquainted with the A1 unless of course we get promoted!

I remember travelling with Kevin Wilson’s Ilkeston team to St Neots for a cup game. We got stuck in standing traffic on the A1 and only arrived at the ground about 30 minutes before kick off

This is the same person's guess at the makeup of the other two Divisions
NPL Division One North :
Brighouse Town
Cleethorpes Town
Clitheroe
Colne
Dunston UTS
Frickley Athletic
Gainsborough Trinity
Hebburn Town
Kendal Town
Liversedge
Longridge Town
Mossley
Newton Aycliffe
Ossett United
Pontefract Collieries
Ramsbottom United
Stockton Town
Stocksbridge Park Steels
Tadcaster Albion
Yorkshire Amareur
NPL Div One West :
1874 Northwich
Bedworth United
Bootle
Chasetown
City of Liverpool
Coleshill Town
Droylsden
Glossop NorthEnd
Halesowen Town
Kidsgrove Athletic
Marine
Market Drayton Town
Newcastle Town
Prescot Cables
Redditch United
Runcorn Linnets
Stafford Rangers
Sutton Coldfield Town
Trafford
Widnes
The teams in red are the ones playing in the South East Division this season. The two missing teams are Leek Town and Belper Town so the person who has compiled the above is assuming the Leek and Belper get promotion.
To repeat : This is not how it's going be next season - It's just interesting guesswork by one person

QUESTIONS
Now that this season has been suspended and may not resume, it makes it even harder for the Northern Premier League powers that be, to formulate the new divisions for next season.
With unresolved promotion and relegation issues and 20 new clubs coming in to make up the additional division, who will they be and how will they be chosen ?
I would have thought that the make up of the three step 4 divisions in the NPL would have been announced shortly after the end of the season to allow individual teams to make the necessary plans for next season.
This season is now very likely to be concluded on 25th April 2020
Will the start of next season be delayed?

Comment by EFL Chairman regarding speculation about the immediate future :
EFL Chair, Rick Parry, said: "These are indeed challenging times for the League, its Clubs and the game as a whole. However, now is the time for cool heads and calm reflection, rather than speculation as we look to steer our competitions and Clubs through this period of uncertainty."

Was that one where it wasn't at their own ground and we won one nil?

Bit of joke I think.
The fa as always stated that the lower down the pyramid the less traveling you do. So if the league is like the one above we will have more traveling.
