Friendly v Long Eaton

It was my first game last night having been away. I thought our lads performed well and deserved their 3-1 win. Ben Morris got the opener from a free kick and played really well before coming off at half time. Jamie Hannis saved a penalty before Roy Lee got Ilkeston's second. Long Eaton made a big effort in the second half and deservedly pulled one back but a third Ilkeston goal by Will Bouwen restored Ilkeston's two goal advantage. Unfortunately the game was poorly attended despite admission being by donation only and proceeds going to local charity, Ben's Den.

Re: Friendly v Long Eaton

Me and the other fan behind the goal were a bit surprised at the turn out. Good to see ex Robin Iain Robinson playing for Long Eaton! He must be nearly forty now. Hill in goal was the other notable ex Robin but a tad younger than old Iain!
