Another fine all-round performance by Ilkeston Ladies saw them through to the League Plate semi-finals against Rise Park who currently play at a level higher. Both sides played some good football but Ilkeston always had the edge and created more opportunities. Ilkeston’s defence was solid and restricted Rise Park’s chances. Going forward Ilkeston always looked dangerous and their finishing was clinical. Hayley Brown scored the opener and Georgina Williams added a second before Holly Brindley gave Ilkeston an emphatic half time lead. Rise Park kept going but Ilkeston always looked more likely to add to their score. Holly Brindley and Hayley Brown hit further goals before Jade Eaglefield scored the goal of the game. Despite having conceded goals at regular intervals, Rise Park kept battling and with five minutes left they deservedly scored a consolation.
