As teams try to reduce their backlog of matches there are six games scheduled for this Tuesday 10th March.

Carlton Town v Market Drayton
Glossop NE v Frickley Athletic
Sheffield v Loughborough D
Spalding United v Chasetown
Stamford v Sutton Coldfield
Stocksbridge PS v Belper Town

Four promotion contenders are in action against each other.
Stamford v Sutton Coldfield will be interesting as Stamford have won their last 5 and Sutton have won their last 6.
Stocksbridge PS v Belper will be interesting as Belper have lost their last 3 and Stockbridge have lost their last 2.

Premier Division Mickleover play both Tuesday night (Ashton, away) and Thursday night (Basford, home).

As we approach the final weeks of the season, all match results take on more significance.
At this time the top three look like being Leek, Stamford and Cleethorpes. 4th and 5th placed should go to Belper and Carlton if they can win their games in hand. If they falter, there is a clutch of teams who could possibly sneak into the playoffs with a strong finish. Sutton Coldfield. Stocksbridge, Kidsgrove and Sheffield will all feel they have a chance..

Sutton Coldfield have come from nowhere really and are the team in form. It puts our game against them a month ago in to perspective making it not the complete disaster it felt like at the time. I still think Stamford will be too strong on their own patch.
Stocksbridge will do well to beat Belper but both teams are struggling with their form so it could be a draw!

The top three all won on Saturday to consolidate their positions. Belper, Carlton, Stocksbridge and Kidsgrove all lost allowing Sutton Coldfield to strengthen their position. Wins for Frickley and Ilkeston enabled both of them to stay in contention with an outside chance of making the playoffs.

It's a really big game for Belper tonight at Stocksbridge. They have to play a midweek game every week because of their backlog and a 4th consecutive defeat tonight will dent their confidence. 5th placed Stocksbridge will see this match as a must win to boost their playoff hopes.

Sheffield v Loughborough Dynamo is postponed but the other games have started. No goals yet

Mickleover, Matlock and Grantham are also playing tonight. No goals in any of their games so far.

Ex Ilkeston Montel Gibson put Halesowen one up after 3 minutes at Bedford.

Carlton are one up against Chasetown Aaron Opoku penalty 16 minutes. Carlton 1 Market Drayton 0

Montal Gibson is a player who I would love to see in Ilkeston's present line up! He would be good back up for Keiran and Kole (Double Ks)

Connor Russo was Market Drayton's Captain and by far they most accomplished player against us on Saturday is only on the bench tonight for their tie against Carlton. This means that their meagre attacking threat will be even less than it was against us!!

Not too much damage done by tonight's results

Didn't want Carlton to win but they were always going to be too good for Market Drayton.
Would have preferred Frickley not to have won
Sutton Coldfield losing was good for us.
Stocksbridge and Belper drawing was the best outcome for us.

Stamford's late winner puts them only two points behind Leek. Carlton were the big gainers tonight. Their win lifts them to 6th. Sutton Coldfield drop to 7th and Ilkeston drop to 8th.
