There is no first team fixture this Saturday so why not come down to the NMG to watch the Ilkeston FCB team play against Calverton. Ilkeston's team may include some of our squad players needing match practice. There will be a full media presence and it's planned to trial the new tannoy system. It's only £3 or £1 to get in. If you're one of the 30 odd supporters who have expressed an interest in buying a half season ticket you can purchase one in the clubhouse before kickoff.

Here, Ilkeston still dominate but have not broken the deadlock. Ricco Spencer does well to get a shot in but keeper saves. It's been one way traffic but Stevens scores for Calverton on 31 minutes. Cracking strike fom the edge of the area. 0-1

Ilkeston Town FCB 4 Calverton 2
This was a very watchable game today which in the end produced six goals and the right result. Ilkeston dominated the first half yet went in at the break one down. Calverton's goal from a rare attack was a cracker by Stevens who hit the ball with real venom from the edge of the box. After the restart Ilkeston continued to control proceedings but the Calverton keeper was saving everything. There was then a crazy ten minute spell when three goals went in and a penalty was missed. First, Riece Bertram forced the ball in following a corner on 60 minutes. Calverton went straight up the other end and re-took the lead. On 65 minutes Mason Lee equalised then three minutes later Ilkeston were awarded a penalty for handling. The unfortunate guilty Calverton player was incensed at the decision and got himself dismissed for his vociferous protestations. After the delay Ayleal Dill stepped up to take and the keeper made a fine save. The score stayed at 2-2 until the 85th minute when James Cullingworth put Ilkeston ahead for the first time. Ayleal Dill added another in the 89th minute to complete the scoring.
