Next round is Saturday, 15th of November when we're supposed to play Hebburn away. Does that mean Hebburn away becomes a Tuesday night game?

Sat 25th October 2025
FA Trophy -1st round
Ilkeston Town 3  St Ives Town 1
Ilkeston’s remarkable turnaround in form continued as they made progress in the FA Trophy. Between 30th August and 16th September they lost five consecutive matches and seemed to be heading in one direction. But since then they have won five and drawn one. This latest win against St Ives was achieved with goals from Harvey Kirby-Moore. Seth Okyere and Jackson Blaize. Craig Swinscoe took charge of the team in manager Ian Deakin’s absence.

The match started with St Ives having more possession but without creating any real opportunities. It took until 20 minutes for a genuine chance to arrive. That was from a free kick just outside the St Ives area but Jordan Stevens’s effort was kept out by the visitor’s wall.  Five minutes later Ilkeston were ahead when Sam Parker’s low cross was turned in at the near post by Kirby-Moore. St Ives reacted and Alfie Roberts did well to stop Liam Cross in a one on one situation. A minute later Roberts was in action again with a fine save following a free kick. St Ives weren’t to be denied a third time and they deservedly equalised through Amir Hadi from close range following a corner on 33 minutes. A Jamie Walker header and a Kirby-Moore effort went wide before the interval arrived with both teams level.

A much better second half began with a goal in the first minute by Ilkeston’s attacking full back Okyere. St Ives hit back with an off target header by Duncan Idehen and a curling effort by Hadi which went over the bar. Callum Minkley came to Ilkeston’s rescue with a vital interception and when the hosts swept up the field, Jackson Blaize was denied by Ollie Taylor’s fine save. Robbie Fox broke free and thundered a shot which Taylor managed to block. In the closing stages St Ives had a real go and Okyere did well to deny Jamal Adams an opportunity inside the area. Okyere was in the action again when he won the ball and made a brilliant surge forward before releasing Jackson Blaize who slammed the ball past Taylor to put the tie beyond St Ives on 90 minutes.
