Ben then played in a play off final as Rotherham claimed their second promotion in two years.
Back in the Championship Ben attracted the attention of bigger clubs and he was linked with a move to Hull City. Rotherham even agreed to sell him to Millwall but Ben turned down the move. After making 147 appearance for Rotherham and scoring twenty goals he eventually moved to Fulham in June 2015.
