AUGUST 2025 FIXTURES
Sat 9th Morpeth Town (A)
Tue 12th Gainsborough Trinity (H)
Sat 16th Prescot Cables (H)
Tue 19th Warrington Town (A)
Sat 23rd Bamber Bridge (A)
Mon 25th Hyde United (H)
Sat 30th Emirates FA Cup (draw not yet made)

Seven matches in August including two night matches and an FA Cup game.

It's always important to get off to good start but five of our first six league matches are against teams expected to do well.
Morpeth, Gainsborough, Prescot and Hyde all finished in the top ten last season while Warrington Town are looking for a quick return to the National League North after relegation last season.
The other game is against Bamber Bridge who have had a good pre-season.

Realistically, we aren't going to win all six league matches.
In my opinion, 10 points would be good return from the opening six matches.

Only two days to go now before the start of a new season. Three promoted teams and two relegated teams have joined the league and all the teams start level. The first month will give us a clue who the best teams are likely to be.
Hednesford are the bookmakers favourites followed by Stockton, Guiseley, Rushall, Ashton and Warrington. Gainsborough, Hyde and Ilkeston could also be playoff chasers. Who knows what lies ahead ? It's going to be another roller-coaster season

No results are certain and ten points from 6 matches should see us in the top half of the table.
