The Stands at Gorsey Lane are fairly new as planning permission was granted June 8th 2021 as per the newspaper aticle below

Council passes plan for new stands at Rylands' Gorsey Lane
11th June 2021 By Adam Everett
Warrington Borough Council has given its approval for the scheme at Rylands FC’s Gorsey Lane. The development includes three proposed covered seated stands to the east and west of the football pitch, as well as new changing rooms behind the East Stand. These will replace existing temporary units fitted at Rylands Recreation Club.
“The new stands are of minimal impact within the context of their site setting, replicating the profile of existing stands on the site – thereby no different to that of the existing situation.
“It is of considered opinion that these new stands do not represent a compromise to any neighbouring situation and should therefore be granted approval accordingly.
”Some residents of Gorsey Lane had objected after raising concerns over parking and noise.
But WBC gave its consent on Tuesday, June 8.

So has the Southern League had to do an embarrassing u-turn since announcing that Mickleover had been deducted 12 points?
I’ve not seen any statement by the league to say that the decision had been reversed but the current league table is showing no points have been deducted.
If the points deduction was a mistake then a statement of apology by the League would have been appropriate rather than the undignified silence.

Warrington Rylands  have been in the top two for 26 weeks of the season but defeats in their last two matches against Lancaster and Worksop have seen them slip to 4th. The defeat at Worksop last Saturday was their only away defeat.

Their home record is not so good though : P19, W11, D2, L6, F30, A22,  Pts 35

Their home defeats have been against Radcliffe, Guiseley, Macclesfield, Bradford, Gainsborough and Lancaster

Warrington Rylands  average home gate is : 518.

Really looking forward to tonight’s match between Worksop and Guiseley.

Worksop can grab the final playoff place by winning both their final games against Guiseley and Atherton. It’s in their own hands.

It’s not impossible for Guiseley to do it but they would have to beat Worksop and Workington by a total of at least 12 goals.

AlfretonTown also play tonight in one of the Nation League North Playoff eliminators.

Morpeth's Match Report

Match Report: Ilkeston Town 3 Morpeth Town 2

Morpeth Town ended their away league campaign with a 3-2 loss at Ilkeston Town in the Pitching In NPL Premier Division.
A destructive 15-minute spell after half-time did the damage for the visitors, who had cancelled out Thomas Marshall’s opener on 23 minutes with a 29th minute Danny Barlow free-kick. But a slow start to the second half saw Jonathan Wafula score on 51 minutes before Tom Cursons scored on 61 minutes to give his side some breathing space. Jack Foalle reduced the deficit on 78 minutes but it wasn’t enough.
Christian Lynn made way for Vinnie Steels at left-back, with Barlow restored to the starting line-up in place of Ryan Donaldson and Sam Hodgson up top as Nic Bollado settled for a place on the bench.
Town started well enough in an even opening between two sides with no relegation or promotion prospects on the cards heading into the final week of the campaign.
With a feel of an end of season game about it, both sides looked to throw caution to the wind. It nearly paid dividends when Marshall was booked for hauling Hodgson down when potentially through on goal. On another day it could have been red.But the striker couldn’t find the target with his free-kick just after, bending it wide of the target.
Morpeth stopper Dan Lowson saved comfortably on 13 minutes before the ball bounced across the six-yard box on 19 minutes prior to Jeff Henderson hooking it clear.
The hosts would take the lead on 23 minutes as Morpeth failed to pick up Marshall from a corner, with the centre-back rising unopposed to head into the back of the net.
But that goal would be cancelled out six minutes later through Barlow. The midfielder won a free-kick in a central position and found the back of the net from the set-piece to level matter, deserved

.Warrington Rylands v Ilkeston (final match of the season)

Warrington are currently in 4th position. A win against Ilkeston could lift them to 3rd if Marine were to lose their final match at Ashton and that would give them home advantage in the playoff semi final, so they have a real incentive to win. On the other hand they won’t want to pick up any injuries that might harm their playoff semi final chances just 3 days after the Ilkeston match.

From Ilkeston’s viewpoint 10th position could become 8th if we were to win and other results go our way.
The two teams above us are Guiseley and Lancaster. Guiseley are one point above us and have to play Worksop (A) and Workington (A). Lancaster are two points above us and have to play FC United (A).
Gainsborough currently have the same points as Ilkeston so could go above us if they get a better result than us. Gainsborough play champions, Radcliffe.

Second Half score updates;

Matlock 3 Ashton  0        G Wilkinson.  58 mins
Matlock 4 Ashton 0.         H Wood         62 mins
Looks like Ashton have blown it. Worksop now favourites to take the final playoff spot

Liversedge 1 Grantham 1      Bradley Munns    63 mins

Matlock  4 Ashton 1                Couto.  72 mins

Correction - It's still   Matlock 4  Ashton 1

Matlock  5  Ashton. 1   Kuleya.    90 mins

It's finished :  Matlock  5  Ashton United  1

Liversedge. 1 Grantham  2      Ryan Rushen  75 mins

Result :  Liversedge 1. Grantham. 2.    Grantham's win lifts them out of the drop zone

The battle for the final playoff place  (after Ashton's Monday night defeat)

5th Hyde        P40  GD+20   Pts 67   -       No matches left
6th Ashton     P39  GD+12   Pts 67   -       one match left:  v Marine (H))
7th Worksop  P38  GD+19   Pts 64   -       two matches left:  v Guiseley (A) and Atherton (A)

It's so tight - Any of these three could grab the remaining playoff place.
If Worksop win Tuesday's fixture at Guiseley the playoff spot should be theirs (with only Atherton to beat in their final game)
But if Worksop lose at Guiseley then Ashton are back in with a chance.
But Ashton have a very difficult final match against Marine.
So it's possible that Hyde could claim 5th position without playing.
Goal difference could be the decider

Radcliffe got their hands on the Northern Premier League trophy on Saturday after their final home game of the season ended in a 1-1 draw against Basford United.
By James Gordon

Jordan Hulme put the Boro ahead on the hour mark, and it would remain that way until the 10th minute of second-half stoppage time when Prince Mancinelli scored to earn Basford a point which confirmed their Northern Premier League status for another season. In doing so, they also consigned Stafford Rangers and Bradford Park Avenue to relegation from Step 3.
Stafford were beaten 1-0 at home to Ashton United while Avenue overturned a three-goal deficit to earn a credible point at home to Gainsborough Trinity - a second-half double from Jake Daniels not enough to take the fight for survival into the final weekend.
Further up the division, Macclesfield secured themselves a home play-off semi-final as goals in either half from Alex Curran and Dan Sweeney earned the Silkmen a 2-0 victory at home to Workington.
Meanwhile, Warrington Rylands' proud unbeaten away record in the league fell at the final hurdle, with Paul Green slotting home in the 91st minute as Worksop Town left it late to topple the Blues 2-1 at Sandy Lane.
It has now been confirmed that Rylands will face Marine in the play-off semi-finals, with a Fin Sinclair-Smith double helping the Mariners to a 4-0 home win against already-relegated Atherton Collieries.
Marine lead Rylands by one point heading into the final weekend, and with third place still up for grabs, there is no confirmation over who will host the play-off tie.
In the fight to secure the final top-five spot, Hyde United did all they could as a Matthew Fearnley brace saw the Tigers beat Matlock Town 2-1.
However, their fate now rests on results elsewhere as Ashton United kept pace with their 1-0 win at Stafford.
The Robins are locked on 67 points with Hyde but crucially have two games still to play - away at Matlock on Monday night before

Taking another look at the makeup of next season's NPL Premier Division

Looking at the 4 teams coming into the NPL Premier Division next season to replace the four relegated teams :

Of the 4 teams relegated from the National league North, Blyth Spartans are the only Northern based team. The 3 others (Banbury, Gloucester and Bishop’s Stortford are Southern based  teams so will go into the Southern League)

Teams promoted from NPL East, West and Midlands:
There will definitely be two Northern based teams from NPL West
There will be only one Northern based team from NPL East as Champions Leek are likely to go into Southern League
None of the NPL Midlands teams likely to be promoted are Northern based

So next seasons NPL Premier Division should include  :
1. Blyth Spartans (relegated from NPL  North)
2. Hebburn Town (champions NPL East)
3. Winner of NPL West Playoffs ie either: Runcorn, Prescott, City of Liverpool,Bootle or Witton
4. Winner of NPL East Playoffs Ie either Stockton, Dunston, Pontefract, Carlton or Belper

I see no reason for Ilkeston to be moved from the Northen Premier

Sat 20th April 2024
Northern Premier League
Ilkeston Town  3  Morpeth Town  2
Goals from Tom Marshall, Jonathan Wafula and Tom Cursons gave Ilkeston a fifth win on the bounce in their final home game of the season but a late Morpeth goal by Jack Foalle made it a nervy finish.
The match started slowly and it took 20 minutes before the game came to life with former Ilkeston keeper Dan Lowson making the first of several outstanding saves. His reflex save from Callum Minkley’s header was quickly followed by skipper Jeff Henderson’s clearance off the goal line. But a goal was soon to come when Tom Marshall headed in from Declan Eratt-Thompson’s corner on 23 minutes. The lead didn’t last long and Morpeth equalised from a Dan Barlow free kick which took a massive defection which left Matt Yates stranded. There were appeals for an Ilkeston penalty when Cursons appeared to be tripped inside the Morpeth penalty area but a free kick on the edge of the area was the outcome. Just before half time Morpeth had their best spell and were close to taking the lead when Andrew Johnson’s close range shot was deflected just wide.
Ilkeston were out of the blocks quickly for the second half. Connor Dixon’s shot was saved then Wafula’s follow up was deflected wide. Cursons was then through with Lowson to beat but the keeper blocked his effort. Cursons had another chance when found by James Perch but again Lowson denied him. A goal had to come and it was Wafula who blasted past Lowson to restore Ilkeston’s lead following a corner. Morpeth were denied an equaliser shortly afterwards when a Foalle header was adjudged to be offside. The best goal of the game came on 62 minutes when Connor Dixon’s brilliant surging run and cross was hammered home by Cursons to make it 3-1. Ilkeston were then comfortably in control and Lowson kept Morpeth in the game with outstanding saves first from L’Varn Brandy and then from
