An energetic performance. Fortunate in the manner of the first two goals but never looked back
Concerning injury list but remember Spence Marzano Fenton & Reid weren’t on duty last night so we’ve got numbers
On plastic it’s a different game. Much quicker and end to end. So energy is key. Charlie Wakefield was once more good. OBH surely has to get a run in the side for me. MOM Irvine. A real prospect
Good team selection from management - backed up by a no nonsense performance. No messing about at the back. Got it forward quickly

Yes that let the pressure off a bit with goals and a clean sheet more importantly. Yes we had a lot of luck but we still played well considerin the injuries occuring during the game meaning having to shuffle around a lot. Stern for me was the motm, he was solid and fast .
Made us laff tho when Billy was hoping to take the penno for his hat trick but Trokey sent him packing. Billy looked like a naughty school boy walking back to his left back position. Had a laff with them both after the game . Non league football eh! Having a laff with the players after the game .....BRILLIANT .

Once again I wasn’t at the match last night. Before kickoff I thought Spalding looked like a tough test (they beat Stamford). Certainly wasn’t expecting a 5-0. I’ve said for a while that Stern Irvine is decent and now others are saying so. Really pleased to see Ollie Brown-Hill on the score sheet too. Last night’s win made me feel a lot better after Saturday’s defeat against Chasetown. But after Chasetown won at Stamford maybe it wasn’t such a bad defeat as it seemed on the day.
The table is starting to take shape now. I’m not surprised at seeing Halesowen in top spot but a couple of teams have done better than I expected; ie Chasetown and Coleshill. Our win 3-2 win at Coleshill is starting to look like a better result than we at first thought. Carlton have also made a great start and as if to emphasise it they almost won at Halesowen. Surprised that Stamford have lost thee of their matches so far but they are still major promotion contenders.Three teams that haven’t done as well as I expected are Belper, Corby and Cambridge. I was expecting them to be near the top but there’s time for them to recover.
The final match I miss is Saturdays match at Carlton which now looks massive for both teams. Really hope we can pull off a win. If we do we can move up to 3rd.

Another game I missed and perhaps I should stay away more often. I have seen all our defeats but few of our impressive wins. Perhaps the football gods are telling me something! I still think technically we are one of the best if not the best team in the league. If we cut out the unfortunate mistakes we can beat anybody in this league. The management have the know how and the resources to gat promoted and I am sure its going to be a special goal filled journey!

You can see having a plastic pitch as an advantage. And in time it will be
But our lads need to learn how to play on it just like the opposition do
Tuesday saw an altogether less complicated approach from us. Less playing from the back which enables us to get higher up the pitch. If the keeper gives it to defenders who just launch it the the keeper may as well launch it. Much less risky
Then we can play a higher line which in turn get midfield & forwards further forward
You need fitter players on plastic too as it’s like a basketball match in tempo. Tuesday we looked better and more energetic. Because of younger legs? Not sure. But it has to be a factor for me
