We have never played Yaxley before but we have faced teams from Peterborough before. Between 1911 and 1913 we met Peterborough GN Loco four times and in season 1914/15 we played Peterborough City twice. We also met Peterbrough United once in the FA Cup on 1955. A game we lost.

For Ilkeston’s travelling away fans, don’t let the cold put you off from going. Here are some reviews by visitors to Yaxley FC
Superb little village club. Facilities are very good and best burger I’ve had at a match. Have to admire clubs like this for being run so well.
Decent amount of parking, didn't see the field pitches as was on the 3G pitch, but it all looked clean and tidy, well kept, toilets were spotless and the groundsman was very kind and respective. Good job all round.
Excellent place, good facilities.
Fantastic club that learns youngsters how to play football early ages in different positions to progress through to reserves and then on to first team football.
Has an amazing 3G pitch . Great to train on and one of the best in the area
Very clean and well maintained for grass roots ground.
Super pitch. Car park a touch muddy
Don't be put off by the immediate vicinity of dirt track and fields. The ground is good for this level. Artificial pitch seems to play well. The local fans are very proud of their clubs's exploits and welcoming to all
A nice friendly club , with a tidy decent ground in a nice area . Enjoyed my visit to Yaxley . Good people there .
Great atmosphere! Brilliant village and great team. Nice beer on tap as well.
Excellent football pitch and food facilities for both players and spectators including a bar and TV.
Good facilities great 3 g pitch and good clubhouse
Lovely friendly step 4 football club.
Excellent venue with bar and refreshments
Rough road to entrance
Has some seats

As there are four games postponed in the Northern Premier League Midland Division today Ilkeston Town will be top of the table no matter what happens at Yaxley. However if we win will be at least four points clear at the top but if other results go our way and we win, we could even be seven points clear.

Fifteen minutes to kickoff. It's very cold and very windy but at least it's dry at the minute.
The wind is freezing in the seats and the seats are wet. A litter bin just blew over and scattered it's conents. When I say it's windy it really is. The wind will definitely play a part. Feel sorry for Ross in goal.
The teams are now out. Ilkeston to kick off
We're started ....

Free kick for Yaxley from a long way out goes wide. These are the worst conditions ever. My fingers are frozen. Campbell nearly finds a way through. Williams finds Zak but his shot is over the bar. 0-0 40 mins

Good save by durrant from Hook. Decent Ilkeston move ends with a goal kick as we approach half time. Bennett shot is blown wide.
Half Time 0-0
