    Tuesday night football (14 Dec) features Chasetown and Coleshill

    . 

    This week’s Tuesday night football sees promotion contenders Chasetown and Coleshill in action. 

    Chasetown are away to Shepshed and Coleshill are away to Daventry
     
    Chasetown have the opportunity to go joint top with Ilkeston if they win at Shepshed. But Shepshed will be buoyed by their win over Halesowen so not an easy game for Chasetown. It would be nice if Shepshed could bring Chasetown’s 12 match unbeaten run to an end. 

    Coleshill have an easier looking game at Daventry. A win for them would lift them to 4th above Halesowen. Daventry have picked up 4 points from their last two home games but Coleshill have the best away record in the league. Can't see any upset here.

    No one expected Chasetown to be where they are but they have been the most consistent team in our league losing just one match so far. That defeat was home to Halesowen 1-4.  
    Their record against the other top clubs is enviable :
    Belper (H)     won  3-0
    Ilkeston (A)   won  4-3
    Stamford (A) won  3-1
    Coleshill (A)  won  4-1
    Carlton (H)   drew 2-2
    Belper (A)     won  2-0 


    Really hoping our friends at Shepshed can do us another favour by taking points off them tonight.


    Much travelled Massiah McDonald has signed for Shepshed

    Shepshed have drawn seven matches so far which is more than any other team. Another draw tonight would be good.
