I don't know if it a bad day for us or not but what I do know is I can't see another team getting into the top 5 now. Interesting to see when the histon game will be. We have a blank Saturday in February and a blank Saturday in March. I think the league ruling is the game has to be played within 42 days of the 1st date. My money is a Tuesday night 😀

I think it would have been better if Sporting Khalsa had hung on to beat Stamford and if Wisbech could have summoned an equaliser against Halesowen but then if we win all our remaking games we should win the title comfortably.

Re-arranged Histon match is likely to be Sat 12th Feb

If it is that date we will have three consecutive Saturday away matches as we're away to Corby on Sat 5th Feb and away to Spalding on Sat 19th Feb.

We have a home game on Tuesday night 8th February against Loughborough Dynamo.

Histon v Ilkeston Town – POSTPONED
Todays’ game against Ilkeston Town has been postponed by the match referee due to a waterlogged pitch.The pitch passed a pitch inspection at 9,30am this morning but despite the weather forecast and the wet condition of the pitch, as it was playable at that time, the club had no choice but to prepare to play.After arriving at the ground at 12.15pm the referee decided that the pitch was unplayable and due to the ongoing rain, was not going to improve and at that point he called the game off.We realise that this is far from an ideal situation for everybody connected with Ilkeston Town and to the officials, staff, players and supporters that were well on their way here by the time the postponement was announced but we have to follow league rules and the process is out of our hands.Once a new date for the fixture has been agreed we will announce the details.

I've heard from a reliable source that the League have agreed to our request to play the re-arranged Histon game on Sat 12th February,

I've also heard from a reliable source that Halesowen are planning a mass invasion of the New Manor Ground on 29th January. They know how important this match is and their plan is to bring 500 fans to even up support.

Personally I can't help wishing that we had gone to watch Yaxley v Chasetown or Stamford v Sporting Khalsa when our journey to Histon was aborted. If you click on the link below and scroll down to the map you can see that both Yaxley and Stamford were possible.
I appreciate that the driver may well have refused to change the route back.
Not criticising Zane either who took charge of the situation and rightly went with the majority who wanted a pub stop.
